Peoria resident named Sergeant-At-Arms of Arizona House of Representatives

House Speaker J.D. Mesnard (R-17) today announced that Peoria resident Chuck Fitzgerald has been named Sergeant-At-Arms of the Arizona House of Representatives.
Fitzgerald most recently served as executive director of Vineyard Community Charities. He previously served as director of the Governor's Office of Faith and Community Partnerships from 2014 to 2015 and director of the Department of Economic Security's Office of Faith and Community from 2007 to 2014. Prior to taking on duties in state government, Fitzgerald enjoyed a long career in the private sector, especially in technology-related businesses. He also served in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 to 1978.
"Chuck Fitzgerald has a reputation for civility and cooperation, and I'm excited to welcome him to the House team as our new Sergeant-At-Arms," said Speaker Mesnard. "Chuck has some big shoes to fill, but I know that he will do a great job for the House."
Fitzgerald succeeds Bob Robles, who died in September, as the House's Sergeant-At-Arms. Fitzgerald started his new position Nov. 20.
