Colorado’s Saguache County Adopts ‘Emergency Regulations’ Allowing Warrantless Entry to Private Property and Preventing Sale of Firearms and Ammo Into

Colorado’s Saguache County approves measures in case of ‘Emergency’, that allow warrantless entry into households and prevent the sale of guns and ammo.

The Archvalley Voice reports:

On Tuesday, September 21, the Saguache Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) unanimously approved and adopted a new resolution titled; “Civil Emergency, Emergency, or Local Disaster Regulations” Resolution #2021-07.

These new regulations define the duties and powers of the Chair of the BoCC, spending authorities, spending limits, the succession of authority, government continuity of operations, and alternative meeting locations for the BoCC – during a County Declared Disaster.

Although not stated in the article, the resolution gives the County unheard-of rights:

3 – allows County to prevent the sale of anything

4 – allows for closing ‘nonessential’ businesses

5 – prevents the sale of alcohol, firearms

16 – allows County to accept gifts from non-profits and private organizations

17 – suspends the use of water resources

Prime Minister Imran Khan promised ‘new Pakistan’ but members of his inner circle secretly moved millions offshore

Leak shows a key ally tried to bypass tax authorities and political and military elites bought luxury apartments and set up shell companies.

In 2018, Imran Khan, the Pakistani cricketing legend turned anti-corruption campaigner finally broke through.

After more than two decades in the political wilderness, the charismatic Oxford-educated media star seized on the publication of the Panama Papers, the 2016 journalistic exposé that revealed the offshore secrets of the global elite. Among the findings: The children of Pakistan’s sitting prime minister secretly owned a string of luxury London apartments.

Riding a wave of public outrage, Khan led protests around the country and a sit-in at the residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, demanding that he step down. With the support of the military establishment, Khan propelled his reformist party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), or Pakistan Movement for Justice, past its rivals in the 2018 national elections and propelled himself into the prime minister’s office in Islamabad.

In a televised victory speech, Khan promised a new era.

“We will establish supremacy of the law,” he said. “Whoever violates the law, we will act against them. Our state institutions will be so strong that they will stop corruption. Accountability will start with me, then my ministers, and then it will go from there.”

Now leaked documents reveal that key members of Khan’s inner circle, including cabinet ministers, their families and major financial backers have secretly owned an array of companies and trusts holding millions of dollars of hidden wealth. Military leaders have been implicated as well. The documents contain no suggestion that Khan himself owns offshore companies.

Among those whose holdings have been exposed are Khan’s finance minister, Shaukat Fayaz Ahmed Tarin, and his family, and the son of Khan’s former adviser for finance and revenue, Waqar Masood Khan. The records also reveal the offshore dealings of a top PTI donor, Arif Naqvi, who is facing fraud charges in the United States.

And your viewers can read it, that the FBI knew the evidence was fraudulent, they knew the credibility problems with Christopher Steele and they knew the DNC through Fusion GPS and Perkins Coie were piping in tens of millions of dollars into the machine so they could get a FISA warrant into President Trump. I think they knew right away which is why I think the individuals at the FBI need to be held accountable… John Durham is only in his second year of the most political scandal in US history. So I think in the next 6 months look out for indictments against the folks like Fusion GPS and Glenn Simpson for helping to perpetuate this fraud. And look out for bigger fish like Andy McCabe who is the biggest fraudster next to James Comey. I think you’re going to see these indictments come out on these individuals at the top. It’s just going to take a few more months…

Kash Patel appears on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the latest developments in the John Durham probe. Patel formerly worked on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) with Chairman Devin Nunes, and was one of the key figures who authored the Nunes memo in early 2018.

Mr. Patel is optimistic in his discussion with Council on Foreign Relations member, Maria Bartiromo, and states that from his experience large conspiracy indictments can take several years to assemble. Patel believes Special Prosecutor John Durham, now 30 months into his investigation, is working his way through the investigative material and could bring indictments against DOJ and FBI government insiders in roughly six months or more.

Patel’s perspective should make the ‘trusty planners’ very happy. CTH does not have that same level of optimism or positive perspective for the primary reason of Robert Mueller. However, presumably Kash Patel would know much more accurately about what took place from his central position next to Chairman Devin Nunes (2017/2018/2019), then next to Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe (2020), then next to Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller (’20/’21). BlackRock Inc (BLK.N) and Royal Bank of Canada's (RY.TO) BlueBay Asset Management are among asset managers exposed to embattled developer China Evergrande Group (3333.HK), while TCW and HSBC funds have closed positions, researcher Morningstar said.

In an analysis Morningstar published on Sept. 24, Morningstar also said UBS Group AG (UBSG.S) and London-based Ashmore Group PLC (ASHM.L) funds retained significant holdings in Evergrande debt, based on data current at August-end. Funds run by Fidelity and SinoPac held sizeable investments, it said.

BlueBay told Reuters its holding was "very limited" and that it has been reducing it since August-end. None of the other asset managers provided comment.

Evergrande owes $305 billion and has run short of cash. Some investors worry a corporate collapse could pose systemic risks to China's financial system and reverberate around the world.

A massive leak of millions of documents has exposed the secret offshore financial arrangements of the world's rich and powerful, including billionaires, political leaders, celebrities, sports stars, and public officials.

Launching today,The Pandora Papersis a major international investigation by dozens of media outlets including the New Zealand Herald that reveals how wealthy elites used complex offshore structures – including New Zealand-based trusts – to shelter assets and move money around the globe.

Among the prominent figures whose financial arrangements have been exposed are 35 country leaders including the King of Jordan, around 330 politicians and high-level public officials, and 133 billionaires.

Believed to be the biggest data leak in history, the Pandora Papers will intensify international debate about the enormous scale of offshore finance at a time of rising concern about economic inequality.

While it is not illegal to use offshore entities to manage wealth, critics say they allow the super-rich to obscure the true extent of their holdings which reduces the amount of tax governments collect. In some instances, they are used to conceal the proceeds of corruption or criminal activity.

The leak will also bring renewed scrutiny to New Zealand's small but significant role in the offshore industry, which was exposed by an earlier major leak, the Panama Papers, in 2016.

The Pandora Papers began when an anonymous source shared 2.94 terabytes of confidential financial files with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, a non-profit network of investigative reporters based in Washington DC.

Provided in several batches over months, the vast collection of data contained nearly 12 million documents from 14 service providers that set up and manage companies and trusts in low-tax jurisdictions around the world, including New Zealand.

To analyse the enormous trove of documents, the ICIJ brought together more than 600 journalists from around 150 media outlets across the globe, including the BBC, the Guardian, the Washington Post, and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
