The video released during the campaign was doctored.
Because Trump has a history of recording and saving his conversations. Also, he was apparently friends with Billy whats his name.
This will be the beginning of a massive defamation lawsuit.

Proving the tape was doctored implicates the Clinton campaign at the very least, and will provide grounds for a defamation lawsuit against media outlets who published it.
If Trump had tried to release the original tape himself no one would take it seriously, if the FBI seized it during a raid while investigating muh Russia, that lends credence to it's authenticity.
He didn't, Rosenstein authorized the raid.
Sessions is recused, this was Russia/Mueller related.
