I was a [barely] self-made millionaire in RE in my 30's, but lost nearly everything in 2008 great recession. Literally abandoned relationships with like 7 banks (to whom I owed millions) and have somehow lived with just a WalMart debit card ever since. Kek. It's certainly not for everyone… never dreamed I'd fall that far.
