I say it's Most likely larpers. how do they know or care who we are, they dont'. They merely want to hush the creeps, and put the fear in the ones who would try and use this place in the most fowlest of ways.

but the script would have to be that Nomad doesn't actually destroy himself because Jim talks him out of his suicidal thoughts?

and convinces Nomad that Nomad is failable.
