I am not the anon you replied to, but I'll offer a personal experience. A good friend of mine came down with something flu-like about 4 years ago now. Seemed stable, then was all of a sudden in the hospital, then the ICU. Had bouts of pneumonia, was on and off the vent, critical one day, feisty and energetic the next, lost lots of weight in between. Symptoms came and went in waves like that for a month. But they couldn't figure out what it was, bacterial infection or virus. No test done came back conclusive for anything. My friend died this way, waiting for a transfer to a fancier hospital that did nothing better in the end. Best the autopsy could muster was an antibiotic-resistant strain of some shit I can't even remember how to spell now. Not sure if they were even sure. I personally think the tests are garbage. So is this Covid strain real? Probably. But I don't think it's what's killing most of these people. And I'll say another thing, nobody in that ICU where my friend was, was half as freaky about an unknown bug as everybody seems about this Covid shit now. Nobody wore masks, I was asked to wash my hands, that's it. God bless you, anon, and God bless my friend.
