Not much to glean, too much bullshit to sift through. I am sure that Clapper's problem with Flynn was that he was brash, right.
There is almost nothing on this man, so they just make a lot of stuff up. It looks like he is Flynn approved. I wonder if he got to stay there because he is liaising with Flynn and getting his opinions to feed them to Trump.
That may have started out as a plan to keep his job (since we all know Trump did not really want to get rid of Flynn) and wound up propelling him to early player status. With a guy like Flynn giving you the answers you could make yourself useful very quickly.
