I was hoping so at first, but no. The white squares seem to throw everything off. But I welcome any help on this if you want to look at it.

Here is a further development of it. Removing uncommon elements from the 3-color and 4-color versions, then filling in the missing squares with elements from the 'filter' baseline matrix.
The resultant matrix is on the lower right here. I still have no idea what it means.
The next step could be re-creating the missing 25th column, implied by the 5:5 filter pattern. It would just be a copy of the 5th column.
Yes, doing that makes the 4 color matrix the same as the 3 color matrix. It also works when shifting the squares to make it 24 columns. So the two matrices are very much alike, drawing our attention to the differences.

Another analysis I did was adding and subtracting square values from the baseline matrix. It yields different results, but it is still something that must be decoded.
