Wearing a gray T-shirt underneath black scrubs, Appleby looked into the camera and relayed what she called “a heartbreaking story” from this week of a person within the age group to which she was referring who died from the virus.
“We cared for a 30-year-old patient at Methodist Hospital who told their nurse that they had attended a COVID party,” she said.
Appleby said these parties are held by somebody diagnosed with COVID-19, and the thought is that people get together to see if the virus is real, and if anyone gets infected.
