Historically all the secular strongmen over there have always looked to Russia. The current pole shift towards either Saudi or Iran is mostly because of fear.
Arab world was fairly stable until 9/11 false flag. Israel and SA were supposed to benefit until Iran rose up. US got baited and screwed over by Israel & SA.
