Here is what Kelli Stewart, who has stood with the Bundys et al since 2014, posted yesterday about the event where police shot Sean Anderson in the face after a traffic stop.
Kelli Stewart
Statement from my own beliefs and understanding of what happened to Refuge Occupier, Patriot and Freedom fighter, Sean Anderson. He is someone I personally know and I wanted to make this statement. Yesterday, the Idaho Sheriff's department, Lewis County deputies and Nez Perce Tribal police, shot and attempted to kill him over a frivolous traffic infraction. Sean Anderson was a man who just wanted to be left alone to live in peace.
As stated in the VERY vague news article, Sean was pulled over early yesterday morning around 2:30 am. The officer reported to the media that he stopped Sean over an 'Equipment malfunction'…Im guessing it was a light not working properly or something minor. Sean complied and pulled over and spoke to the officer. At some point, Sean was done talking to the officer, and left the scene. Perhaps the officer had run his name and was escalating the traffic stop, we don't know. The officer could have left well enough alone, since Sean had no warrants and was not accused of committing a crime. But The officer pursued him for almost an hour, along with Lewis County and Nez Tribal police, and when Sean stopped, they drew their guns on him and shot him in the face. Whether or not he tried to defend himself, I don't know. They said multiple shots were fired but they were unsure who fired first of all the officers. If he did defend himself, he had EVERY right to do so if he felt his life was in jeopardy. And given the fact that he was shot in the face, it's clear his life WAS in fact in jeopardy.
This happens WAY TO OFTEN, (look at the Andrew Kearse story), when people are stopped over frivolous infractions from revenue generators, and it leads to someone being shot or killed. I don't know how ANYONE could be chased in the middle of the night, for an hour, by multiple armed agents, and not feel their life was being threatened. Sean must have been overwhelmed and in serious fear of being shot, and after losing his friend LaVoy Finicum, he knows the risks when police refuse to stand down or deescalate a situation.
Who is responsible for this wasteful and dangerous use of the police department? It was a joint effort of many irrational and rabbid members of the police force. Deputies from the Idaho County Sheriff's Office and an officer with the Nez Perce Tribal Police helped the two Lewis County deputies chase sean for nearly an hour before he was shot in the face.
The attempted murder of Sean Anderson is now being investigated by Idaho State Police, with FBI agents providing assistance. We know how that will go when the government investigates themselves.
Sean is in stable condition but has an uphill battle ahead to recover from this attempted assassination, along with many surgeries to try to save his eyesight. If we have learned anything about police, from the Jeff Weinhaus case, its that they will likely charge him with the crime they commited. If they do, he could spend the rest of his life in jail, for fleeing from a traffic stop after committing no crime and having no victims.
In America, under a police state, it's comply or die.
Stay strong Sean! We support you and will do our part to expose the ones who did this to you! Someday we may live in a country that truly understands the concept of leaving people alone to live in peace. You and LaVoy both craved that type of world. For now, we have a police state that doesn't take no for an answer. #justiceforseanAnderson #justiceforlavoy #justiceforandrewkearse #freejeffweinhaus.
Please pray for Sean's healing and comfort for his wife, Sandy, and that they don't send him to jail….again.
