Forgery, definition:
"The crime of falsely making or altering a writing by which the legal rights or obligations of another person are apparently affected; simulated signing of another person's name to any such writing whether or not it is also the forger's name."
…and here is the rub that the Tal(mud)ist (I spit on), don't address: the contents of the accusation. They never say it is a lie, instead they deflect the conversation as though it was a lie because it is derived from another book!, a 'forgery', they say… but what of it? - the accusation within the pages stick. Joly was most likely the writer anyway…doesn't matter who wrote it. It is damming and rightfully so.
