The issue is Q followers reacted in cult like manner and convinced themselves masks don't work. You better believe they work. If my sick mother is in an elevator with you on our way to the dr.'s office and you sneeze, the mask you wear will decrease the probability of her catching the virus from you and dying. By how much? I don't know but anything to decrease the probability of spreading the virus is better than nothing.
