not a lawfag, but i don't think an employer can force employees to wear a mask, unless OSHA has determined that a mask is needed to protect the worker from exposure to harmful substances released in the process of working. therefore, eg, dust mask while sanding/grinding or respirator while spray painting.
if that is correct, any employee fired for refusing to wear a mask because of covid would have grounds for a wrongful termination lawsuit. danke Gott i'm retired and don't have to deal w/ that scenario, 'cause i'm a born contrarian. but if i were young and no family to support, i would be one to push the limits.
