Since it's feeling like this storm is about to roll into shore, I just want to thank all you other oldanons who left r/TheDonald, went to 4chan/pol, then to 8chan/pol, and ended up here.
It's been an emotional ride– plenty of laffs, so many boobs I about got tired of seeing 'em (ha), a few tears, the process of learning to ignore the shills and the evil which tried and failed to intrude, and more digging and learning than I can describe, much more than I learned to earn a degree.
I'll never be the same. I don't think anybody else who's been on this ride ever will be, either.
About to take my non-mask-wearing self up to the Smokey Mountains for a few days, where it's 10 degrees cooler, the chairs on the porch are comfortable, and the view is beautiful. I have my late Dad's Bible and will be reading it over coffee every day.
