When a person becomes a Catholic, do they somehow release their American Citizenship to the Vatican otherwise why do Victims seemingly not have the same rights as any American does in the eyes of the Law? Why doesn't American Law = to protect the rights of Americans, kick in and override Diplomatic Immunity when they commit crimes on Americans? Does it matter where the crime occurs? Is it because most of the crimes occur on Church property ie Sovereign territory that their Diplomatic Immunity holds sway or does this follow them wherever they go?
Always confused by this as I know many times the Police would refer crimes right back to the Church! How is that even possible?

Yes, I am saying that I was triggered, in a good way, by the following part specifically:

This relates to The Vatican and Catholicism because I suspect that the Vatican also has Sovereignty on church property which is why many abuse cases were historically referred back to the church instead of being prosecuted. Are all churches basically Embassies of a foreign government in the eyes of US Law?
