I understand completely. In the context noted, prayer TO Saint Michael Anon was asking him (Michael) to INTERCEDE on our behalf: i.e.; "be our protection against the snares of the devil."

Intercession Definition and Meaning - Bible Dictionary

Definition and meaning:INTERCESSION in-ter-sesh'-un (pagha`, 'to make intercession'; originally 'to strike upon,' or 'against'; then in a good sense...

Like I said, you protestant KARENS don't have the corner on prayer. Go ahead and pray for me if you like, just STFU about it.

Your sanctimonious and condescending tone both to OP and myself belies a Christian demeanor. What you "nice" Christian ladies don't realize is that in your compulsion to "correct" others' expression faith as per your well-schooled Biblical understanding, you have the opposite effect of what you're trying to achieve, if in fact, your mission is to save souls. Children don't need to be taught anything for they have the love of God and Jesus in their hearts. It is we adults who need to learn from THEM.

"Verily I say unto you, Except ye turn, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3.

Children would hardly reprimand or rebuke a fellow brother or sister in Christ whether gently or no for asking Saint Michael to intercede against the devil on our behalf.

It is you, therefore, who has a bogus faith, or a bogus heart – whichever the case may be, but your response & attitude to OP was mean and I jumped in and basically told you to fuck off, Karen.

But I'm gonna let you have the last word. I know how you nice Christian Karens crave it.
