God commands His angels, not us. Ask the Father in Christ's name, or when you pray to anyone other than to the Father, you may instead be, and likely are, summoning demons. That doesn't help the cause. It curses it.

During the first dispensation they did so. However, according to Hebrews 1:

1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

The time of the first dispensation ended with the death of the last of the Apostles, after the last of the inspired Word, to be recorded by John, was delivered (the Revelation). Furthermore, Christ Jesus Himself had instructed the Apostles He would send in His place the Holy Ghost who would remind them of all Christ had taught:

16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—

17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. John 14

And:

26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning. John 15

And:

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. John 16

The Holy Ghost reminds only about that which Christ Jesus taught, and what the Apostles recorded of His Doctrine:

13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16

Now it is this Doctrine which speaks to us, and having been sent, there is no more need for angelic messengers, nor is it proper to invoke them.

Oh, and I should add, those even under the first dispensation NEVER invoked angels. They prayed ONLY to the Father, and the Father sent His angels to speak to them. It has always been the Father commanding His angels, never men invoking them.
