"Be calm and watch, for your enemy the devil goes about seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, strong in faith, knowing that your brothers all over the WORLD have the same trial"
For You
If you can't read, at least be silent..

For You
If you can't read, at least be silent..
(You)
We know you.
Yes we know you well; but we are not here for you although for the little ones. Your mouth overflows with honey, but your heart is dark and bruised like a fetid pond; you cover yourself with good intentions but when you mirror yourself what you see is only pity and scorn; you look at the world with your lone little eye, with a pale monocle, and you are destined to weigh probabilities and winnings, like the meanest of kings.
Your stairs, your bridges, your plans are in vain: the work of a small and vain harlequin, you wander among the great looking for benevolence, and collect only mockery. And you are not allowed, oh inopportune law, to get on with you because you wouldn't even know where to put yourself.
You love to excel but you only compare yourself with those you already know are inferior: a miserable bet of a lifetime; launch proclamations, puff your chest, make precise gestures but your stentorian voice bewitches only those who already have inside what they want to hear; and you are surprised for so little.
You make yourself great with protocols and procedures, secrets and silences, but it is only an attitude: indeed you fly high but you do not detach yourself from the ground; the righteous one bends down if he wants to sow well, but for you it is wasted effort: you wouldn't recognize that a lentil is still a treasure.
Remember these words well, because you were destined to hear them again and again: "neither straw nor smoke".
