I have been wondering about some reasons for wearing face masks that are not often considered. One reason to mandate them, is if it will increase case counts. This has political and economic ramifications.

Another reason I don't think I've seen discussed has to do with facial recognition. We've seen those images of Kamala Harris that don't look right. I don't know if she and Gavin Newsom are interested in keeping their real selves off camera right or if something else is going on. What if some folks, who are ordinarily "public figures" are getting eager to keep their real faces off the news and hidden in public? Covering faces by mandate, so everyone is doing the same thing, helps them out.
