I'm with liberals when it comes to keeping schools closed. Why are we fighting to send our kids off to be formatted with others' ideas in their most formative years of life? Desire to learn is inherent in our spirit. School corrupts curiosity to misery and blind acceptance.

Nothing can be taught, we can only learn. Information is free and easily accessible today, schools are obsolete.

Is the key feature the ability to be taught or the ability to learn? When people are taught something, especially in the K-12 school setting, the lack of a full picture destabilizes their reality. They know the what, but don't see the why. Look at the students coming out of universities. Lots of knowledge, but it isn't grounded or founded in themselves. It was taught to them by people they've been taught are trustworthy. The things they've been taught can be used to manipulate, since they have not discovered for themselves the full picture.

I don't mean to discount teaching, and I don't sense bad intent from your writing. I wish you well on your path my friend. Consider the times in your life where you've been taught truth vs when you've discovered truth.
