I talked to a fren last night from so cal, he's on minimal SS retirement and getting sec 8 housing, says everyone on the dole in cali is collecting the special covid unemployment for self employed/contractors/gig workers, getting $750 a week, not having to look for work (because of covid), says most everyone he knows (homeless and poor people) is milking the system, legally, some kind of loophole, easy money to total about $13,000 so far, but it will end tomorrow unless congress and trump extend the handouts. I checked it out in Nevada, doesn't look so easy here, must be looking for work and other requirements to qualify
