King lives (or did live) around Bangor, ME. That's pretty close to UMaine. Take the students away and it's going to lean conservative. IMO. Maine people are good folks by and large.

A friend of mine when I lived there knows King. I don't. My friend was on the liberal side, kind of an old hippie, by not unreasonable. I can see even that demographic being turned off by the bullshit.
