Why did the U.S. Military cease active bioweapons development?

More specifically, why has the U.S. Military not pursued strategic vaccine production?

 

Think in terms of research goals - military vs corporate.

Another question… Was Covid-19 initially far more lethal than what spread?

If so, why might that be?

That is a led question that supposes something - but if Covid-19 was a highly lethal bioweapon and what we see now is exactly what all research suggested would happen to bioweapons…. What are the implications for disease response and control?
