Signs of DNC activity in Milwaukee: Tents go up outside Wisconsin Center

The DNC planned to begin moving into the Wisconsin Center by the end of July, Wisconsin Center District president and CEO Marty Brooks said several weeks ago. The convention is scheduled to run from Aug. 17 to Aug. 20 with Milwaukee serving as the anchor of nationwide online and television proceedings.

The DNC’s license agreement for the facility started July 20, said district spokeswoman Sarah Maio.

Maio and Brooks have declined further comment, citing client confidentiality.

Media representatives of the Democratic National Convention Committee, which is supervising the convention, did not respond to a Milwaukee Business Journal request for comment.
