That's misuse of Scripture. The "landmarks" were possession markers, delineating the borders of one's inheritance. By moving a marker, one was stealing property, such as a neighbor would do by moving a fence to gain ground.

Yep! It's roots are evil. To acknowledge this, it should be replaced, with a whole new name and proper rules. I get that's not the whole answer, but it would go far in showing citizens these people are serious about real change and "repentance", so to speak.
Repentance is what separates the adults from the children. Your humility is appreciated and a fine example. Thank you for showing us all.
When one's ideals are a zero built on a foundation of sand, heroism becomes the object of their desires.
In reality, heroes don't seek heroism, they just do it.
One should consider, according to Christianity, sodomy is merely symptomatic of IDOLATRY. The idolatry is the ROOT of the evil, er, FRUIT.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. Rom. 1
He was still addressing the symptom rather than the root cause of that symptom, which is idolatry, according to Romans 1.
