Female neighbor-anon came knocking at my door for the first time yesterday. She pointed out a person shooting guns about 75-100' away. She asked me to call the police.
I told her I cannot call unless I personally see something (she's standing there with her phone in her hand). She goes on to tell me that she has witnessed this for a week. She showed me pictures she had on her phone of him aiming the gun.
Here's why I tell the story.
Eventually I see him carrying two 'long rifles' of an unknown kind. He begins shooting. It appears to be a pellet gun.
I called 9-11I got an operator almost immediately, they routed the call to the city police, and then I was on hold for a while. Hard to say how long, maybe 5 minutes. Then the police came online. He asked what was going on. I described the above and added that when he fires he is not pumping the weapon and it sounds like the shots get weaker and weaker with each shot.
I think the police were there like 5 minutes after I spoke with them. It turned out to be and electric pellet gun? Never heard of them.
So, after talking to 9-11, long waits to talk to the police. But police acted quickly once aware.
