The "gospel" of "Thomas" is Gnostic.
Quote from it: (114) Simon Peter said to him, "Let Mary leave us, for women are not worthy of life." Jesus said, "I myself shall lead her in order to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every woman who will make herself male will enter the kingdom of heaven."
So what you claim as that of becoming neither male nor female as in heaven doesn't wash. Yep, this making her "male" is her reuniting with the male principal, the false system of gods. The Gnostics taught the "Sophia" had separated from the hermaphrodite god and got lost. Her quest becomes finding him again to reunite with him. She finally finds his bridal chamber, and her entrance into this chamber begins the marriage. Once again they are reunited. She becomes male again, and he becomes female again because their unity makes them both male and female. This "unity" produces more childrentheir little gods. So this is NOT saying neither male nor female, but male and female combined. She "becomes" male by melding with "him". The true Word however tells us those souls entering into Heaven are like the angelsthat is, they are neither male nor female. Paul also states that in Christ, there is neither male nor female. This is not what the "gospel" of Thomas is saying. That fallacy is talking about a duality.
