Never wore a mask. Shop at Publix, sign on door: masks required to enter. Been there a half-dozen times since the sign went up. Nobody said anything to me. In face, everyone was friendly.
When I walk by a shelf stocker who is wearing his/hers mask with nostrils free. I say to them: I'm happy to see you wear your mask that way. Sometimes we talk for a couple minutes.
Give them the scoop about the decreased oxygen and expelled air going over the eyes. Tell them I'm an old engineer living alone and seek information in the internets.
And yes, sometimes I ask them if they have ever heard of Q? No one has said yes yet. I just give them a big simile and say: you will as I walk away.
