Supreme Court blocked Trump from ending DACA, so he just announced that the program will wind down instead

Critics say he is defying the Supreme Court order

After losing a Supreme Court decision over the DACA program in June, the Trump administration announced that they will wind down protections already granted to illegal immigrants under the Obama-era policy.

The Supreme Court denied President Donald Trump's plan to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which grants a quasi-legal status to some illegal immigrants who were brought into the country as children.

Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the more liberal wing of the court in the 5-4 decision.

On Tuesday, the Trump administration announced that they would be winding down the current protections to DACA recipients while they review the legal ramifications of the Supreme Court order. Renewals for recipients of the program will change from two years to only one year. And no new applications are going be accepted for consideration.

According to NBC News, a Trump administration official said that the Supreme Court decision was a narrow order that allowed for other measures to be taken to "limit the scope" of the program.

About 700,000 people have received protection from deportation under the DACA policy. If the protections are rescinded completely, they would be immediately eligible for deportation proceedings.

'Cruel day for Dreamers'

The American Civil Liberties Union responded with a scathing statement criticizing the decision by the Trump administration.

"Make no mistake, the vast popularity of the program, combined with a looming election, prevented Trump from immediately ending the program. But this policy memo makes his intentions clear: His next move is a complete end to the DACA program to destroy the lives of Dreamers once again. It appears everyone but the president knows that Dreamers belong at home in the United States," the statement read in part.

"Today is another cruel day for Dreamers, their families, and all Americans. But we promise, just like the Dreamers, who have fought for decades, we won't stop fighting," the statement concluded.

Trump vs. Biden on DACA

Biden has already indicated that he would continue and extend the protections put in place by former President Barack Obama for the Dreamers. His immigration plan would also grant a "road map to citizenship" for as many as 11 million illegal aliens already in the nation.

In a surprising announcement on July 10, President Trump said that he was working on a plan to provide a "road to citizenship" for the DACA recipients.

"One of the aspects of the bill is going to be DACA. We are going to have a road to citizenship," Trump said at the time.

A statement from the administration later clarified that the president was open to working with Congress on a "negotiated legislative solution to DACA," but added that "this does not include amnesty."

We're Seeing the Death Rattle of the Revolution, Not Its Birth

I’m not surprised, though I am chagrined, that a lot of people, including people I know and respect, are buying into the idea that what we’re in the midst of is a Marxist revolution in the U.S.

Look, I understand, okay? Not as many people have had the experience I had of living under unbridled, unmasked Marxist power, so you don’t understand their myths and how they actually connect with reality. Oh, you’re starting to see it, as the left drops its masks, but it’s not the same as seeing them running around, showing their behinds and expounding the craziest theories during your formative years, when your eye is unsparing. There is a reason it was a little boy who cried “the king goes naked.”

Let’s start with what the left thinks they are doing:

They think they’re bringing about their utopia, their heaven on Earth.

They have been programmed – indoctrinated, really – from birth via the media, education, entertainment, and – heaven have mercy – even churches and synagogues into believing what amounts to a heretical Christian sect.

There are many variations of the Communist mythos, mostly Marx, but with its roots firmly in Rosseau. They range from racial ones (one to each race) to feminist ones. There are probably others I haven’t even heard about.

The myth goes like this: in the beginning, there was no capitalism (the cult’s quaint name for any free buying and selling or trade. (This is why they call monarchies capitalism or private property.) This was the dawn of man, the perfect state of humanity. Because there was no property there was no envy and no crime. Man (and particularly woman) lived in a time of innocence. In this perfect utopia – feminist version – women ruled, sex was free, babies were brought up communally, and every woman could do as she pleased. In the racial version, the poor now-oppressed race were the rulers, and therefore there was no property, etc., etc. No crime.

But then the serpent evil white race showed up. Or males rebelled. Whatever. Because, you know they didn’t like paradise. And they instituted private property and “capitalism” and since then there’s been this great struggle by the good to overturn the evil. In the end, the good prevails, they confiscate and redistribute all private property and reeducate the people maimed by living under the unjust capitalist system and we go back to living in a utopia.

The liniments of the story should sound familiar if you come from a Judeo-Christian background. It’s the story of creation, fall, and eventual world-redemption, only stripped of a creator, any power superior to the Kommissars and the idea of personal redemption. In fact, in this heresy the individual doesn’t matter at all, only the group he belongs to.

I doubt any Marxist has been told this story as such, but I promise you it is in the background of a lot of their books, from “non-fiction” to novels. The idea, bonkers as it is and as easy to dismantle as it is, is in the background of their thoughts.

Barr Reveals Separate Probe Into Flynn Unmasking, But Sources Worry Americans Will Be Left In The Dark If Investigations Are Kept Secret Until After Election

Department of Justice Attorney General William Barr revealed during Tuesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing that there is a separate investigation into the questionable unmasking of former national security advisor Michael Flynn being headed by an outside U.S. Attorney. This investigation is separate but in conjunction with another investigation being headed by U.S. Attorney John Durham into the origination of the FBI’s now-debunked case that President Donald Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia.

But sources familiar and vested in Barr’s investigation say there is serious concern as to whether or not the Justice Department can accomplish a full investigation into the Flynn unmasking and the origin of the FBI’s probe into before the November election. Durham’s investigation has been ongoing for more than a year and he has yet to indict any suspects or issue a full report.

Barr did not state whether or not the results of those investigations would be released prior to the November elections but did reiterate to lawmakers that he was aware of the Justice Department rules to not release information that may interfere in an election.

“The American people deserve the truth and there should be no games here, what-so-ever,” said a former senior Intelligence official, who is aware of the ongoing circumstances with the issues being investigated. “Democrats, as well as some Rhino anti-Trump Republicans will push against any report being published before November but that is unacceptable. The Trump administration has spent four years being tarnished and the American people divided.”

“People need the truth and they need it now,” stated the official, who spoke on background due to the continued nature of their work.

Barr told lawmakers Tuesday that with regard to Flynn, he appointed U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas John Bash. He wants Bash to investigate the numerous unmasking requests made by former Obama administration officials into Flynn.

The retired three star general’s name and the contents of a top secret conversations in December, 2016 with former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were leaked to The Washington Post. Columnist David Ignatius said in his column that multiple U.S. officials had verified that Flynn had spoken to Kislyak and that those conversations regarded then sanctions the Obama administration had taken on Russia.

Barr said that Bash’s probe of the Flynn leak will be independent of the criminal probe being conducted by Durham.

“A number of people, including former special agent (Peter) Strzok and (Joe) Pientka have been interviewed by Durham,” said a source familiar with with Durham’s ongoing probe. “The investigation is certain to bring indictments but how many and who is certainly not being verified by anyone inside the DOJ but If I was (Former FBI Director James) Comey I’d be very concerned.”

Barr told the panel of lawmakers about Bash after being asked by ranking Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan.

Local U.S. Law Enforcement Using Chinese Drones Cited for Espionage Concerns

Rep. Banks blows whistle on state governments helping China spy in the U.S.

An increasing number of local and state law enforcement authorities are using Chinese-made drones that the federal government warns are Communist Party espionage tools, prompting Congress to petition local governments to end their reliance on the technology.

Rep. Jim Banks (R., Ind.), a member of the House Armed Services Committee and Congress’s China Task Force, is blowing the whistle on his state’s use of drones produced by Dà-Jiāng Innovations (DJI), which is controlled by the Chinese government and known to service its police state. Dà-Jiāng and other Communist Party drone makers earlier this year donated more than 100 drones to U.S. authorities in 22 states to help them conduct surveillance during the coronavirus pandemic. While the Defense Department and other federal agencies have banned the use of these drones, local governments have failed to do the same.

Banks, in a letter sent last week and obtained Tuesday by the Washington Free Beacon, warned Indiana officials that their use of these Chinese drones could be helping the Communist Party collect sensitive data about Americans and their local governments.

Chinese-made drones are one of many technologies the U.S. government has cracked down on in recent months over concerns the Communist Party is using them to conduct espionage operations in America. All of the data collected by these unmanned vehicles would be accessible to the Chinese government due to its strict oversight of the tech sector. Congressional and Trump administration officials have issued multiple warnings about the risks associated with Chinese technology, including popular social media applications such as TikTok, which could soon find itself banned in America due to China’s abuse of users’ private information.

"The federal government has become wise to the Chinese Communist Party’s infiltration, but state and local governments have not uniformly become as vigilant," Banks told the Free Beacon.

In his letter, addressed to Indiana governor Eric Holcomb (R.), Banks outlines the many concerns surrounding DJI and other Chinese drone makers. Holcomb was labeled by a Chinese think tank as a "friendly" U.S. official last year after he led a trade mission to the country.

Banks is pressuring Holcomb to implement a statewide executive order "prohibiting DJI drones and other drone companies with significant ties to the Chinese Communist Party from being used in support of state or local government operations," according to the letter.

China is seeking increased contact with U.S. state and local officials in a bid to bolster its standing in America. This effort has become all the more important as the Trump administration cracks down on the federal government’s contacts with Beijing as a result of the coronavirus and subsequent Communist Party disinformation campaign.

As a member of the China Task Force in Congress, Banks is "regularly briefed on the grave dangers of using drones and other surveillance technologies that may be sharing data with the Chinese Communist Party," the letter states.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also warned the nation’s governors of this danger during a February meeting with the National Governors Association.

One Chick-Fil-A Franchise Is Offering Free Food For Your Coins

Amid the nationwide coin shortage, businesses across the U.S. have been offering their customers specials to bring in coins. Smaller mom and pop convenience stores may offer a cup of coffee, while other companies - notably Chick-fil-A - are even going as far as offering free food.

At one Chick-fil-A in Lynchburg, Va., the company is offering coupons for a free entree in exchange for every $10 in rolled coins that guests provide, in addition to the same amount in cash. Each guest is limited to 10 coupons maximum, according to the Hill and the company's Facebook page.

The store is allowing customers to come in on Wednesday between 9AM and 11AM to redeem the coupon. The company has said on its Facebook page that the response has been "overwhelming" and that they will definitely do another special of the sorts.

The special comes as the nation faces a massive coin shortage as a result of the coronavirus lockdown, which eliminated not only the amount of people going to stores - but specifically the amount of people using cash to pay for things.

The Federal Reserve imposed a rationing order last month, which limits the number of coins given to regional banks. Fed Chair Jerome Powell had said: “With the partial closure of the economy, the flow of funds through the economy has stopped. We are working with the Mint and the Reserve Banks and as the economy reopens we are starting to see money move around again.”
