They are affiliated with the church, but the Vatican has land! These people only have hospitals, boats, offices, a lot of properties in other other people's countries. They started in Jesursalem. The moved to Rhodes. Then they moved to Malta. But when Napolean showed up they left.
and now they are base in Rome.
If I was someoene with huge capital and a roman catholic, maybe I'd get to be one of them too.
but I'm on the fence about it. They seem like the core of their mission is to help people with exreme need. And I can agree that's a good mission.

He went to Malta but I have no way of knowing if he's associated with SMOM. SMOM is no longer affiliated with the government of Malta . It isn't based in Malta either.
but I did listen to some other news about Malta, and they seem to have their fair share of scandal.
