Now hold on a sec. Just because the [D] party cannot get organized and field a candidate, does not mean the election would be cancelled. There are other parties fielding legitimate candidates. I say the election would proceed as scheduled, and the [D] party would just be extremely fucked. Maybe not even be on the ballot in some states.
