Over the last week, have been noticing and responding to posts advocating for voting via remote means besides paper- phone apps, supposed safe block chain voting, etc. And I'm not on all the time so wonder if more are popping up.
Bad idea. In voting old technology is better than new technology that will have no chain of custody, no recount ability, and can spoof the voter with one presentation while another "votes appropriately" with their vote. And I imagine can also be used to track the voter- ID'ing the voter (tracing).
You register to vote, hopefully use voter ID to get to vote, but that vote is anonymous. At least, it is supposed to be.
Spitballing here: It has been suggested that the raid on the Houston China consulate perhaps was due to China getting ready to manipulate via mail in voting. IF, and big IF, that was true, what was the backup plan? Voting by phone/computer app?
Best place to start pushing that idea- at a source of the opposition, then "transplant" that idea elsewhere.
How did that work in the last democrat primary in Iowa?
