Bill Clinton‘s name appears — almost in stealth — on several pages of a massive cache of court documents released late Thursday in cases surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre. Finding Clinton’s name requires digging; it is not electronically searchable in the papers made public after protracted litigation.

Law&Crime combined all 47 individual documents unsealed Thursday night into one master document available below for reference. The page numbers cited are from the master document Law&Crime has created.

Here are several references to Clinton made during a phone call between Giuffre and lawyers in the case (page 145):

A separate discussion about Clinton emerged on page 290. It surrounded whether Maxwell ever flew Clinton to Epstein’s island. Giuffre was attempting to clear up press reports attributed to her which indicated she had personally observed such doings. Giuffre said she had not seen it directly, but that Giuffre instead bragged about doing it:

This past May, Clinton spokesperson Angel Urena told the New York Post that the lies about Clinton’s presence on the island would not somehow become “true” merely because they were being frequently and widely repeated.

“This was a lie the first time it was told, and it isn’t true today, no matter how many times it’s repeated,” the Post quoted Urena as saying.

Donald Trump‘s name appears on page 133 of the master document below. He is listed as the owner of the Mar-A-Lago resort.

Exporting Evil

Since 1973, the year Roe v. Wade asserted a constitutional right to abortion, the Helms Amendment has banned the use of U.S. tax dollars to pay directly for elective abortions in foreign countries.

This week, several House Democrats introduced what they are describing as the “First-Ever Bill to Repeal the Helms Amendment.”

In a press release, the original cosponsors of the new bill say the prohibition on funding abortion overseas is racist:

“The Helms Amendment is a policy deeply rooted in racism. It imposes our arbitrary and medically unnecessary abortion restrictions on international communities, allowing the United States to control the health care and bodily autonomy of billions Black and brown people around the world. Just like the Hyde Amendment, the Helms Amendment puts reproductive and economic freedom out of reach for women of color. But enough is enough, and both amendments must fall if we want to realize true health equity and reproductive justice,” said Congresswoman Schakowsky. “I am proud that my sisters Representatives Lowey, Lee, Speier, Pressley, DeGette, and Torres are joining me to introduce the Abortion is Health Care Everywhere Act, which will finally repeal the Helms Amendment. Comprehensive reproductive health care, including safe, legal, and accessible abortion, is a human right.”

“Li Chen was a trusted researcher at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, conducting cutting-edge U.S. government-funded research,” FBI Cincinnati Special Agent in Charge Chris Hoffman released in a statement. “With her guilty plea, she admits that she abused this trust to establish a company in China for her own financial gain. The FBI is committed to working closely with partners such as Nationwide Children’s Hospital to protect the innovations that make America a world leader in science and technology.”

Chen worked with her husband for a decade to steal the intellectual property. They planned to transfer and sell it in China.

"According to her plea agreement, Chen conspired to steal and then monetize one of the trade secrets by creating and selling exosome 'isolation kits.' Chen admitted to starting a company in China to sell the kits. Chen received benefits from the Chinese government, including the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Chen also applied to multiple Chinese government talent plans, a method used by China to transfer foreign research and technology to the Chinese government," the Department of Justice revealed. "Exosomes play a key role in the research, identification and treatment of a range of medical conditions, including necrotizing enterocolitis (a condition found in premature babies), liver fibrosis and liver cancer."
