Gardening anon chiming in. Soil is the most important element of your garden. Healthy soil does so much more than just feed your plants. It also cleans our water and holds carbon. Books are written about his. So how do we get soil healthy? You must have beneficial bacteria. The bacteria has a symbiotic relationship with the plants. It trades nutrients for sugar with the plants. The bacteria/fungus grows a carbon web beneath the soil to all plants and each other just like the internet. Read up from Paul Stamets.
One of the best ways to increase a good environment for bacteria to grow is to have porous soil and a place for bacteria to grow. There is something called biochar or terra preta. The char is like a condominium complex for the bacteria to live in and thrive. Pure carbon with endless tunnels. It thrives very well in warm moist conditions.
This is for soil. Now take a mask straight out of the box and look at it under a microscope. There are many places for bacteria to live and thrive. Now wear your mask for an hour and then take a look at it under a microscope. It starts to look pretty disgusting. Set your mask down for 24 hours without wearing it and then look under the microscope. It is full of every alien creature you can imagine. Now what if you were wearing that mask all day sucking in every disgusting organism in our environment and then breathing warm moist air into the mask. If any of you have a microscope I challenge you to check this out. I would post pics but I don't have a camera for the microscope.
