What did they think was going to happen? For weeks, the mainstream media and many politicians on the left have been relentlessly praising the chaos, rioting and violence that has been taking place in major cities all across America. Meanwhile, the mainstream media and many politicians on the left have also been demonizing the police and have been promoting those that are calling for them to be defunded. It was inevitable that there would be consequences, and they have been quite dramatic.

Crime rates are skyrocketing all over the nation, and demoralized police officers are committing suicide. And if the mainstream media and many politicians on the left do not end their irresponsible rhetoric, things will get even worse.

Are there bad police officers? Of course there are, just like there are bad individuals in any profession. But to demonize all police officers because of the actions of a few is something that no responsible journalist or politician should ever do.

Without the police, our society would rapidly devolve into complete and utter chaos. I am so thankful for the men and women in blue that put their lives on the line every single day to protect all of us, and I certainly would not want to live in a society that did not have any police.

Over the past couple of months, the entire profession has been relentlessly demonized by the media and by many of our politicians, and this has resulted in a crisis of morale in police departments all over the nation that is absolutely unprecedented.

And as they see the police being publicly trashed on television, many average Americans have decided that it is fair game for them to do the same thing, and this has especially been true in our major cities. The way that police officers are being treated in many parts of the country has been completely and utterly shameful, and it was inevitable that some officers would be pushed past their breaking points.

At a time when the relationship between the World Health Organization (WHO) and China is under intense scrutiny, human rights activists and health experts also are questioning the organization's stance on Beijing’s questionable organ donation program.

Earlier this year, the London-based China Tribunal determined that, “beyond a reasonable doubt,” hearts, lungs, kidneys and livers were being harvested from ethnic and religious minorities – sometimes while still alive and otherwise healthy.

Despite denials from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the government acknowledged using prisoners of conscience for decades to harvest organs for its estimated $1 billion industry. In 2015, it announced that its official policy had changed, and only voluntary donors would have organs extracted after death. But many claim that the country has not stopped coercing people into harvesting.

“The industry has continued to grow at a rapid pace over the past decade, and it became a large lucrative industry for CCP. They won’t stop it unless their crimes are fully exposed and sanctioned/prosecuted by international communities,” Xiaoxu "Sean" Lin, a microbiologist and activist/spokesperson for the Washington-based Falun Dafa Association, told Fox News.

“In China, doctors could procure multiple organs for the same patient in quick succession, in case of rejection or have as spares. It is not uncommon in China for a patient to receive multiple transplants of the same organ. Furthermore, the vast array of transplantable organ types and their prices openly listed on hospital websites give the impression that any body part can be replaced as needed.”

Four Los Angeles residents have pleaded guilty to organizing a voter fraud scheme in the city's Skid Row neighborhood, paying homeless people with cigarettes and cash to obtain fake signatures on various voter documents.

The defendants "admitted their role in a scheme where money and cigarettes were offered to homeless people on Skid Row in exchange for false and forged signatures on ballot petitions and voter registration forms," the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said in an announcement this week.

The admissions of guilt follow another participant in the scheme pleading guilty in February to taking part in the fraudulent activity.

The rate of positive coronavirus cases in the military is slightly lower than the American average in all age groups except for troops between the ages of 18 and 24, according to Air Force Brig. Gen. Paul Friedrichs.

"We believe that the slightly increased confirmed case rate in that age group is a result of the success of [Air Force Maj. Gen. Lee] Payne and his testing task force. And the services in allowing us to test at the entry to basic training, at the exit to basic training, and at many other points in an active-duty service member's career," Friedrichs said Thursday during a Pentagon briefing about coronavirus response efforts.

He did not provide the actual rates of cases in each age group during the briefing.

Another reason why they might be testing positive at a greater rate is because 18- to 24-year-olds make up the largest age group of service members, Friedrichs said, and they are more likely to be tested across the Defense Department's tiered testing system.

Friedrichs said he believes that in general the growth in cases is not higher in part because service members are adhering to the health protection measures such as wearing a mask and social distancing.
