Sometimes it is hard to understand people these days.

I grew up in a small town and recently moved into the big city. My new starter home is rather small (10 acres) but I can manage it until I save enough for a normal place. As you can imagine, there is a lot to do, and I recently discovered a place called Home Depot where they have more in that store than in all of Shiler County.

While in the Home Depot yesterday, I was standing in line with a 50lb sack of pea-stone on my shoulder and a very nice woman ahead of me in the line turned around and said I could check-out before her. It was very kind of her and I wanted to say thank you in a way she would know I appreciated it very much. I do not know all the city words just yet, so I said to her what we would say in Murphysburg. I smiled and said "My Ball Sack Churns for You". I was taken aback when instead of a nice warm smile she looked very angry and said very rude things to me.

I do not understand why she was upset, so I tried to explain by telling her she was not the usual buffarilla (big as a buffalo and ugly as a gorilla) like we are used to in Shiler County, and again, she appeared to be even more upset.

I like the Home Depot very much but from now on if someone tells me I can move ahead in the check out line, I reckon I will just say no thanks schuckum, I am fine and so are you.

I just wanted to share that with you on this new internetty thing we just got.
