NOTABLE
In context of preaching the Gospel even in the face of danger since it is more important souls be saved for an eternity than bodies be saved temporarily. Bottom line, that verse relates to preaching the Gospel. Any other use of it constitutes abuse of Scripture, while is handling the Word dishonestly.
The point was that Paul was telling Timothy not to fear suffering bodily for speaking the truth of the Gospel so that souls may be saved, including calling out wolves preaching a false gospel. The bodily harm is referring to the one suffering for preaching, NOT to "dunking witches".
I suspect the Qteam was appealing to many of those who would be following them, many of whom claim Christianity as their belief/tradition. That verse is referring to the Word of God and the Faith of it making up the armor. Though the Qteam is indeed addressing evil most foul, I doubt he was applying the citation as in defense of and in admonition to folks relative to the true sense of being protected with the Word of God and the Faith of Christ's Testimony (the Gospel). Having the armor is not to be received as a mere trifle of a picture of some physical armor, but being protected by the Truth of God's Word as given in Scripture centering around Christ and His Work.
Actually, Paul wrote that letter to Timothy, and yes, as an Apostle, Paul was a prophet and died for preaching the Gospel. One need only read it in context instead of raping it out of context.
"Pius"? "Pius" to whom or what? Those holding to the Scriptures do not handle it dishonestly, which is a form of not being pious.
