From personal, anecdotal, experience, I suggest starting with about 5,000 iu per 50# of body weight and adjust up or down from there. Dosing is inexact due to multiple variables ... adjust to what works for you. Same with Vitamin C. If you are sick, consider a gram (1,000 mg) per hour. If you are not already ill, consider 3 grams per day. An "overdose" of Vitamin C is marked by diarrhea. If you get the squirts, back off some. If you AREN'T getting the squirts, continue increasing the dose until you DO get diarrhea. This is how you gauge how much your body can beneficially absorb. (Hint: it's a hella lot more than you probably realize.)
