Eye protection actually is a good idea. We've known since January that you can catch a Covid-19 infection through your eye, and there is an unusually high incident of eye infections tied to Covid-19.
Masks are useless to prevent yourself of others from getting an infection. They actually increase the risk of a lung infection, or an eye infection, and the spreading of infectious air to others, because of the way the mask directs air.
No mask. Eye protection (glasses or shades) has been the way to go all along.
