This creepy video of Bill Gates is making the rounds again today.

Bill Gates told The Financial Times, “You don’t have a choice… Normalcy only returns when we largely vaccinate the entire population.”

For the coronavirus flu.

Notice: Bill Gates is using a technique from the government-Yale study on persuading Americans to get his vaccination.

Here is the full interview with the Financial Times back on April 9, 2020.

This was just weeks after the US was shut down due to the coronavirus flu.

Minneapolis Police, Defunded by City Council, Advise Residents to Obey Criminals

This may seem a strange way to begin a post about a surge in violence in Minneapolis, but Natalie Portman and the rest of Hollywood — you did this.

The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) told residents they should “be prepared” to hand over their phones, wallets, and purses to robbers.

The MPD has reported a 46 percent increase in carjackings and a 36 percent increase in robberies compared to this same time last year, according to WCCO.

Police in the city’s Third Precinct alone have received more than 100 reports of robberies and 20 reports of carjackings in just the last month.

Officials are now telling residents to be ready and willing to comply with the demands of criminals in an email sent to Third Precinct residents.

Backing irrational and irresponsible calls — some coming from criminals — to “defund the police” is having very predictable results. Crime is up in many American cities — theft and robberies, violence, murder — with no end in sight. In fact, it’s going to get worse as most cities have not yet actually defunded their police.

What we’re seeing now in most places is just the beginning, with criminals emboldened by the possibility of defunding police.

Wait until the real defunding begins.

Olivia Arnold is just one of the thousands of drivers who had their car stolen this year in Minneapolis.

Her boyfriend was using it to deliver food two weeks ago near 1st Avenue and east 18th Street.

In the 10 seconds he stepped out to hand over the customer’s order a thief jumped into the driver seat and took off.

“You think ‘Oh this is just my side gig doing deliveries.’ You don’t really think anything of it. You don’t think that you’re going to be put in danger because of something like that,” Arnold said.

Being victimized led her to seek more information through social media groups like the Uptown Crime Facebook page.

“That’s kind of where I realized this has been happening a lot lately,” she said.

They’re lucky he wasn’t shot or stabbed. He merely lost his means of making a living during the worst economy in nearly a century. Insurance will pay for that, and perhaps for the therapy he’ll need to treat PTSD.

Minneapolis gave itself over to the radical mob, under pressure from far-left activists, criminals, Hollywood, and the media. Most large cities have done the same, or soon will.

They did this despite the fact that a majority of Americans of all backgrounds never supported defunding police, and defunding would lead to very predictable and terrible results.

Hollywood stars such as Portman and many others, who can afford their own private security, backed defunding calls. It was irresponsible and thoughtless, but so was listening to a word they have to say. Defunding police is condemning the rest of us, without regard to race or background, to this surge in violence.

The Hollywood elites will never repent. They don’t care. They’re shielded from reality living lives in which we pay them to pretend to be someone else. They virtue-signal without real virtue, to make believe they matter beyond the fictional characters they portray, which is putting good people, people better than they are, in real danger.

The defunded police in Minneapolis, left with few options, are telling residents there that you may as well let the criminals have what they want in the hope they decide not to kill you anyway. Basically, you’re on your own. Seattle’s police sent a similar message last week. Shootings are skyrocketing in New York. Chigaco is like Chicago in its worst gangland days now. Unrestrained activists are morphing into mafioso in Kentucky.

That’s what defunding the police looks like.

In Minneapolis, where the madness started, police are basically giving up. They don’t want to. They just don’t have any choice. Bane runs the city now. But there is no Dark Knight anywhere to rise up and stop him. He’s as fictional as the space queen Portman woodenly portrayed in Star Wars.

Only the violence is real.

“Be prepared to give up your cell phone and purse/wallet,” the police said in their email, a copy of which was obtained by Alpha News. The email said citizens should listen to criminals and “do as they say.”

The message warned that “some victims have been maced, dragged, assaulted, and some threatened with a gun.”

It’s not like the police can help. They won’t have the budget or the city council’s backing, and Hollywood stars and the media will smear them for even trying. So here’s where we are.

Who Are The Least Informed Americans? Those Who Get Their News From Social Media

Those who get their news from social media tend to be young and nonwhite

People who get their news from local television also are unconcerned about the impact of false information

Just 3% of Americans get their news from print media

Americans who rely on social media for their news are less knowledgeable and more likely to get the facts about major stories wrong, according to analysis released Thursday by the Pew Research Center.

But social media isn’t alone in leading Americans astray on important issues.

Pew reported about 18% of Americans rely on social media while 25% use news websites or apps, 16% watch cable television, 16% watch local channels, 13% watch network television and 8% listen to radio news. Just 3% read print publications.

The analysis is based on surveys conducted between October 2019 and June 2020 as part of the American News Pathways project.

The surveys show those who rely on social media for political news are less likely to closely follow major stories; tend to be younger, female and nonwhite; and are often less educated. Their own politics lean Democratic.

“Given the tendency of older adults to generally follow news more closely than younger ones, some of the relative lack of attention to these stories is connected to the fact that those who use social media to follow political news are disproportionately young. However, even among Americans ages 50 and older, those who turn to social media most for their political news are less likely than others in their age group to be following both COVID-19 news and news about the election very closely,” Pew said.

They’re also less likely to be following election news closely.

The Slaughter of the Innocents in Chicago Continues With 9-Year Old Murdered

Outside of cities in war zones like Baghdad and Mogadishu, I doubt whether any supposedly civilized city has ever experienced anything like this.

Nine-Year old Janari Ricks was heading to his friend’s house to borrow a game controller. The straight “A” student and avid sports fan was gunned down in a hail of bullets before he got there.

Ricks became the 14th kid under the age of 18 murdered since June 20. The body count is unbelievable. For the year, 212 kids have been shot, 36 fatally.

The city has seen a 150 percent increase in shootings compared to last July. So far this year, murders are up 51 percent. But other crime stats don’t look so bad — probably because of the lockdown.

CNN:

Still, overall crime has decreased by 9% compared to the same time period in 2019 — driven by a 26% decline in theft and a 19% reduction in criminal sexual assault, police said.

“While our City has made progress in reducing violence in recent weeks, all of that is lost when we lose another child to gun violence,” Lightfoot tweeted.

Lightfoot has called gun violence “a public health crisis.”

“Gun violence is every bit a public health crisis as COVID-19,” she added. “How many more families must be torn apart? How many more communities need to be traumatized? How many more children have to die? We’ve had to write these words far too many times just this summer alone.”

Lightfoot is dead wrong. “Gun violence” is not the crisis. What Chicago is suffering from is a leadership crisis. The best she can do is plead with residents to send the cops tips.

The city has been aggressive in confiscating weapons, having seized 5600 weapons up 5 percent over last year. It’s the people that use those weapons — gangbangers and wannabes — who need to be brought to justice.

That’s not going to happen in Chicago.

“As we continue moving more officers into the districts and closer to our communities, we have also been focused on creating teams that can address violent crime head-on within our most vulnerable neighborhoods,” Superintendent David O. Brown said in a statement.

“Our officers will engage directly with residents. We will hear their concerns, and continue to work in partnership with them as part of an all-hands-on-deck effort to curb the violence in our communities.”

There’s no “stop and frisk” so gangbangers are free to walk and ride around with their automatic weapons. There is a lot of concern for the civil liberties of gang members but, apparently, not as much concern for the lives of children and other innocents who are unintended victims of their violent gang wars.

Lightfoot and other city leaders are not going to alter their views so the carnage will continue. The mayor will continue to weep for kids shot dead in the street and beg the public for tips to catch the perpetrators. There’s no chance she will ever be mugged by reality. It’s been hitting her over the head for months and nothing has changed.

Microsoft to Proceed With Talks Over Possible TikTok Purchase in US After 'Conversation' With Trump

Earlier in the week, US President Donald Trump announced his intention to ban the Chinese-owned viral video platform TikTok in the United States amid allegations that the app "spies" on American citizens and could be used to "meddle" in the US presidential election.

Microsoft revealed in its official blog that the company is committed to continuing discussions with the White House over purchasing TikTok, after a conversation between Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and President Donald Trump.

The company noted that the talks would "in any event" be completed "no later than 15 September".

"Microsoft will move quickly to pursue discussions with TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, in a matter of weeks, and in any event completing these discussions no later than 15 September, 2020. During this process, Microsoft looks forward to continuing dialogue with the United States Government, including with the President", the company's statement said.

The company said further updates would be revealed when there is a "definitive outcome" to the discussions. The statement also outlined that Microsoft would "move quickly" to pursue discussions with TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, which will be built "upon a notification made by Microsoft and ByteDance to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS)".

"The two companies have provided notice of their intent to explore a preliminary proposal that would involve a purchase of the TikTok service in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand and would result in Microsoft owning and operating TikTok in these markets", Microsoft said.

The new structure is promised to stick to the "experience TikTok users currently love", while "adding world-class security, privacy, and digital safety protections". Microsoft also vowed to ensure that all private data of American citizens is kept in the United States, noting that in cases when such data is "stored or backed-up" outside the country, the company will make sure it is deleted after being transferred to the US.

Expressing appreciation for the participation of the White House in the talks, the tech giant noted that "there can be no assurance that a transaction which involves Microsoft will proceed".

Trump Opposition to TikTok

The announcement of the possible deal between Microsoft and ByteDance, earlier reported by several media outlets, comes after Trump voiced his intention to ban the Chinese-owned video app in the United States. It also marked Microsoft's first official statement on the matter.

TikTok, while keeping silent about reported dealings with Microsoft, responded to Trump's tweets by asserting that it does not "plan on going anywhere", offering instead that it would contribute to the US job market and insisting that all American user data is kept in the United States.

The app's promises did not stop US State Secretary Mike Pompeo from again insisting that "Chinese software companies are feeding data directly to the Chinese Communist Party", echoing concerns raised by some US lawmakers that the app "spies" on American citizens and could "meddle" in the US presidential election.

On Friday, The New York Times reported that Microsoft was considering the purchase of TikTok amid increasing pressure on Capitol Hill against the app. TikTok has been prohibited for use by active duty US military personnel and for federal employees using government-issued devices. The prohibitions were decreed under a pretext that TikTok presents a threat to national security due to allegations that it has ties with Chinese intelligence - claims that TikTok has denied.

Millions Locked Down Under Draconian Covid Rules in Australia

To combat a Covid outbreak, Melbourne initiated its most severe restrictions yet. Victoria, Australia Declares 'State of Disaster,' Locking Down Millions in Melbourne.

The premier of Victoria plunged the region into a "state of disaster" on Sunday, announcing even stricter lockdown measures, introducing a nightly curfew and banning virtually all trips outdoors after Australia's second largest state recorded 671 new infections in a single day.

Daniel Andrews told Victorians at a news conference that "we have to do more, and we have to do more right now," as the state battles to contain a devastating coronavirus outbreak that had already stripped residents of their freedoms, livelihoods and social interactions and made it an outlier from the rest of the country.

New Rules

"Where you slept last night is where you'll need to stay for the next six weeks."

Curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Only one person per household will be allowed to leave their homes once a day outside of curfew hours to pick up essential goods, and they must stay within a 5 kilometer radius of their home unless nearest shop is over 5 KM away.

Exercise can be taken for up to an hour a day, with one other person, but still within five kilometers of a person's home.

Big Pharma Rakes in Billions from U.S. Taxpayers for Coronavirus Vaccine

Big pharmaceutical corporations are raking in billions from American taxpayers through the United States government deals that are funding research for a vaccine to the Chinese coronavirus.

In May, President Donald Trump’s administration created Operation Warp Speed (OWS) to partner with pharmaceutical corporations in researching, developing, and administering a vaccine for the coronavirus at a record pace.

As a result, the administration is cutting deals for pharmaceutical corporations that deliver them billions in taxpayer dollars for vaccine research and development.

Most recently, the France-based pharmaceutical corporation Sanofi and GSK scored a $2.1 billion federal contract for 100 million doses of a vaccine with potentially the option to buy another 500 million doses. Sanofi profits total nearly $38 billion.

Similarly, Pfizer and BioNTech won a $1.95 billion federal contract for an initial 100 million doses of their yet-to-be-developed vaccine for coronavirus. Pfizer is the largest multinational pharmaceutical corporation in the world with profits over $53 billion.

Other pharmaceutical corporations who have been awarded federal funds include:

Nearly $1 billion to Moderna

About $420 million to Johnson & Johnson

$1 billion to AstraZeneca

$1.6 billion to Novavax

$450 million to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals

While AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson executives have pledged to Congress not to profit off the vaccines, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla told Barron’s last week that it is “radical” to suggest that billion-dollar pharmaceutical corporations forgo profits during the coronavirus crisis.

“I think it’s very wrong. You need to be very fanatic and radical to say something like that right now,” Bourla said of those suggesting vaccines not be administered for profit. “Who is finding the solution? The private sector found the solution for diagnostics, and the private sector found the solution for therapeutics and is along [the] way to find more solutions for therapeutics and vaccines. So how can you say something like that? Doesn’t make sense.”

Analysts with Barron’s say Pfizer could stand to profit nearly $13 billion in sales just from a coronavirus vaccine if it is priced at $19.50 per dose.

Bourla’s statement matches that of many economic libertarians who have praised pharmaceutical corporations for their vaccine research, with little mention of Trump’s OWS or their funding by American taxpayers.

“Vaccine progress is coming at record speed — and it’s the result of the free market,” Nikki Haley wrote in a July 23 post. “About 2 dozen companies are competing to find a cure or treatments to the pandemic. While govt supports, they’re rightly letting innovators and entrepreneurs drive the vaccine process.”

Alan Tonelson, an economist who writes the RealityCheck blog, told Breitbart News that such statements “pandering to ideologues” are “distinctly unhelpful.”

“It does seem clear that Nikki Haley is trying to have her free market cake and eat it, too … no one has ever recommended that government micro-manage scientific research,” Tonelson said.

“It’s true that any source of funding for any endeavor is, legitimately, going to want some say over broad priorities,” Tonelson said. “In other words, as with much of life, tradeoffs are involved, balance-striking is necessary, and there are no one-size-fits-all recipes for success. But Washington’s solid record throughout American history of supporting research and development indicates strongly that participants equipped with common sense can navigate these goals very successfully.”

To date, there are more than 165 vaccines in development stages around the world. Experts have said a vaccine could be ready for widespread patient use by early 2021.

Report: Over 125 China-Backed Companies Get Millions in U.S. PPP Loans

More than 125 companies owned by or linked to China have received hundreds of millions of dollars in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans meant for American small businesses during the Chinese coronavirus crisis, a report alleges.

According to an analysis by the Horizon Advisory consulting firm, published by the New York Times, anywhere from $192 million to $419 million in PPP loans — funded by American taxpayers — has been awarded to more than 125 China-backed companies since March.

The report states that at least 32 of those China-backed companies have secured loans for more than $1 million, totaling $180 million alone. The loans were intended to help small businesses with fewer than 500 employees stay afloat amid an economic shutdown spurred by the pandemic.

In one case, Continental Aerospace Technologie and Aviage Systems — both owned by the Chinese government’s Aviation Industry Corporation of China — were able to get $10.35 million in PPP loans.

Another case reveals that U.S. subsidiaries of China’s HNA Group, a financial services corporation, got $1 million each in PPP loans, and a U.S. subsidiary of China’s BGI Group originally got a loan of $1 million. When the media reported the loan, BGI Americas Corporation returned the money.

Other cases include, according to Times:

For example, Dendreon Pharmaceuticals, a California-based biotech company, received a loan worth $5 million to $10 million. It is owned by Nanjing Xinbai, a Chinese state-invested company whose controlling shareholder has close ties to the Communist Party. [Emphasis added]

Money from the Paycheck Protection Program has also made its way to the financial technology sector. Citcon USA LLC, a Silicon Valley mobile payments firm, received $150,000 to $350,000 in loan money. ZhenFund is a major investor; the company connects American companies to Chinese payment platforms such as Alipay and WeChat, which could also face restrictions from the Trump administration. [Emphasis added]

Senate Republicans are currently looking to ensure that such federal loans are not awarded to companies with links to the Communist Party of China. One provision would ban China-backed companies from eligibility for federal loans.

The report comes as President Trump’s administration seeks a crackdown on Chinese investment in the American economy. Over the weekend, Trump promised to soon ban the China-owned video app TikTok, which has become widely popular among American teens.

On Sunday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said he would support a U.S. ban on TikTok.

Chinese investment in the U.S. economy has reached more than $145 billion, according to data collected by Public Citizen. Since 2002, more than $120 billion in U.S. assets have been acquired by Chinese-backed financial interests — especially in real estate and construction, technology, and energy.

‘I can't f**king BREATHE under this thing’: LSU linebacker identifies flaw in new anti-coronavirus helmets

Louisiana State University linebacker Soni Fonua found what could be a fatal flaw with the new face shields designed to prevent the spread of coronavirus on the gridiron – the inability of the player to breathe.

Fonua posted a video of himself wearing a helmet fitted with the new shield in the LSU locker room, saying, “I can't f**king breathe under this thing. Yes sir.” Offensive lineman Austin Deculus added, “It's like breathing in a Ziploc bag.”

Breathing difficulties or not, the players may have no choice but to wear the Schutt Splash Shields on their helmets. LSU's football equipment crew said on Twitter: “Adapt, adjust. Splash Shields ready to go.”

A similar shield developed by Oakley will be used in the National Football League this season, though it likely won’t be mandatory for players. The NFL Players Association has opposed making it requisite. The Oakley Mouth Shield at least has air openings.

Difficulties breathing might not be the only unintended consequence of the face shields, as a fogged mask would also make it difficult to actually see the ball.
