Jesus of Nazareth (1977), Directed by Franco Zefferelli, is an amazing film. It really stands the test of time, and I think anons would find it rewarding. It's actually a TV miniseries made for the BBC that's been remastered as a 6 hour film. Best film about Jesus I've ever seen. I learned a lot. I think it's very relevant to what is happening today, as well.
