Indeed. The "information = reaction" practice has to shift to awareness at 100%. Emotions and feelings are simply figments. The higher self is watching and ready to learn when information presented is based in love.

Joe Biden's Campaign Hires San Antonio Organizer as Texas Deputy Director

Democrat Joe Biden's presidential campaign has named veteran San Antonio political organizer Jenn Longoria as its Texas deputy director.

Longoria — who led Elizabeth Warren's campaign for the state during the primary — will answer to Biden State Director Rebecca Acuña, a longtime Texas Democratic operative who most recently served as a director of government affairs for PepsiCo, according to news reports.

Longoria worked on presidential campaigns for both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in addition to state and municipal races. She also serves on the board of Battleground Texas, the Democratic voter mobilization project launched in 2013.

The Biden campaign's additional Lone Star State hires include former Texas Democratic Party spokesman Tariq Thowfeek, who will head communications, and Houston political consultant Shekira Dennis, who will oversee coalitions. Mike Collier, a 2018 lieutenant governor nominee, and Jane Hamilton, the director of Biden's Texas primary campaign, have joined as advisors, according to the Texas Tribune.

Madonna goes against the narrative and gets slammed for it; now her career and legacy is ruined

Is Madonna dismantling her own legacy?

Madonna’s Instagram has seen her bathe in milk, sing about ‘fried fish’ to the tune of Vogue and compare herself to Nelson Mandela. And Martin Luther King, And John Lennon. And Jesus.

But, with her most recent jaw-droppingly misjudged post, the debate is no longer charmingly eccentric or utterly cringe-inducing, but something else entirely.

On Thursday, the Material Girl shared a Covid-19 vaccination conspiracy theory. Instagram promptly flagged her account for spreading misinformation and deleted the post, but the damage was done.

In her message, the 61-year-old claimed a vaccine was being concealed, adding:

They would rather let fear control the people and let the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

David Baddiel put it best when he then said on Twitter: ‘Madonna knows she’s rich, right?’ The backlash was unprecedented, with everyone from Annie Lennox – who called the post ‘dangerous quackery’ – to Gay Twitter coming for the Hung Up singer. I, for one, am confused.

As recently as 12 months ago I thought Madonna’s icon status was carved in stone. Back then, a reasonable response to her surreal social media conduct was a simple ‘someone should take her phone away from her’, followed by an eye roll, a laugh and another spin of Don’t Tell Me.

But 2020 is a different beast.

(too long) But, evidently, it only takes one misstep to undo years of hard work. Case in point: that aforementioned Instagram post.

Heidi Klum 'Never' Traveled on Jeffrey Epstein's Private Jet, Says Her Lawyer: 'Totally False'

Virginia Roberts Giuffre claimed Heidi Klum was flying on Jeffrey Epstein's private plane in documents from a 2015 lawsuit

By Georgia Slater and Melody Chiu August 03, 2020 12:34 PM

Heidi Klum is shutting down claims that she flew on Jeffrey Epstein's private jet.

On Friday, documents from a 2015 defamation case, filed by Virginia Roberts (now Virginia Giuffre) against Ghislaine Maxwell, were opened by a federal judge. In the documents, Giuffre alleged Klum was one of the many high-status celebrities to fly on Epstein's aircraft.

One of the released filings was from a 2011 deposition that Giuffre gave to an attorney in West Palm Beach. Asked at the time who traveled on Epstein's plane, Giuffre mentioned, "Naomi Campbell, Heidi Klum, Bill Clinton and Al Gore," according to WPEC.

A lawyer for Klum tells PEOPLE that Giuffre's claims are "totally false."

"Any reference to Heidi Klum in connection with Jeffrey Epstein is totally false. Heidi Klum’s name and initials were absent from all the flight logs which were released. Many high profile people are listed, but Ms. Klum is not one of them," the America’s Got Talent judge’s lawyer says, adding, "The explanation is simple. She has never been on any of Mr. Epstein’s planes. And that is because she did not know Mr. Epstein and was never on his island."

In a statement to PEOPLE, Klum, 47, says: "I have been watching the news and see that I have been mistakenly named as a passenger on one of Mr. Epstein’s flights. I did not know Mr. Epstein and therefore have never been on his planes, at his homes or his island. I am speaking up as I do not want to be falsely associated with Mr. Epstein and the horrific story surrounding him."

Klum continues: "I stand with the victims who have so bravely come forward and I too want the truth to come out and for justice to prevail."

The new details came one day after U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska ruled to have the documents unsealed. The civil case, which was settled in 2017, involved Giuffre's claims that Epstein sexually abused her as a minor.

Interview excerpt

US weapon sales boss talks China, arms exports and his agency’s future

WASHINGTON — After years of working various jobs related to security cooperation, Lt. Gen. Charles Hooper took over the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency in August 2017. It was an appointment that coincided with a major push by the Trump administration to increase weapon sales as an economic driver. Three years later, as he gets ready to retire, Hooper sat down with Defense News for an exclusive exit interview.

We hear a lot about Russia and China looking at foreign arms sales as a way to exert influence around the globe. Are they successful in pushing the U.S. out of certain markets?

Both of our main strategic competitors are mounting challenges to the United States, and I think we see that in a number of places all over the world. But I would say that the proper characterization of this is that they are challenging us. They are competing with us. Certainly they’ve mounted challenges around the world and in providing goods and services that are not quite the quality of the United States, trying to replace the United States as the partner of choice. Whether it’s been successful or not, I think that we have recognized that they’ve mounted this challenge and we’ve taken some of the steps that I’ve articulated for you here that we’ve done to ensure that we remain the partner of choice and that we complicate their efforts to compete with us.

In addition to providing partners with the hardware, our approach ensures that we strengthen these institutions — logistics, doctrine, infrastructure, institutional support, financial management — so that they can learn how to pay the people who will actually fix the equipment. And this is what makes our approach so unique. And this is why we will win this great power competition. Our values set us apart from the other great power competitors.

That, and she sees through the BS. If she is controlled by puppet masters, you can bet that they are pulling the strings now so she can be "cancelled" as an example so others don't speak out. She will play along because the bottom line is that she has everything she'll ever need or want.

Trump tax records lawsuit should be tossed, Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance says

PUBLISHED MON, AUG 3 202012:29 PM EDT UPDATED 16 MIN AGO

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. urged a federal judge to dismiss President Donald Trump’s latest effort to prevent prosecutors from getting the president’s tax returns and other records from his accountants through a grand jury subpoena.

The U.S. Supreme Court earlier this summer rejected Trump’s bid to block on the subpoena, ruling that presidents do not have immunity from being investigated for crimes by state prosecutors while in office.

Vance is seeking the financial records from the accounting firm Mazars USA as part of a reported probe into how the president’s company, the Trump Organization, accounted for a hush money payment to a porn star, Stormy Daniels, who says she had sex with Trump years ago.

Whatever happened to Brad Parscale?

Trump Campaign’s Ad Strategy Shifts Under Stepien, But It’s Doubling Down On The Same Message

Breaking |517 views| Aug 3, 2020,12:37pm EDT

The Trump campaign on Monday released a new ad campaign targeting early-voting states as part of campaign manager Bill Stepien’s strategic reboot, but the message of the ads remains the same attacks that have proven largely ineffective at diminishing former Vice President Joe Biden’s polling lead.

Stepien, a former advisor to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, stepped into the role of campaign manager in July after Brad Parscale, who Trump reportedly blamed for low turnout at his Tulsa rally, was pushed into an advisory role.

Stepien has since overseen a “reboot” of the campaign, creating a more hierarchical organization structure, reviewing the campaign’s spending and pulling the campaign’s ads last week, Politico reported Friday.

After a review of its ads, the campaign pulled out of critical battleground states like Michigan in favor of swing states whose early voting periods begin soonest, such as Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Arizona–mostly red-leaning swing states in which Biden has been polling unusually well, and often ahead.

“In many states, more than half of voters will cast their votes well before Election Day and we have adjusted our strategy to reflect that. Joe Biden is continuing to spend millions of dollars a week in states that won’t come online for two months and we encourage him to keep at it,” Stepien said of the new strategy in a statement on Monday.

Trump teased the new ads on Friday, tweeting “we are doing a new ad campaign on Sleepy Joe Biden”–a nickname that has long been viewed as ineffective –and declaring, “He has been brought even further LEFT than Crazy Bernie Sanders ever thought possible.”

True to Trump’s tweet, the ad campaign is sticking to the same message Trump has used for months against Biden, with one new ad entitled “Takeover” warning “the radical left has taken over Joe Biden and the Democratic Party,” and another called “Cards” featuring a voter declaring “Joe Biden worries me. He’s weak.”

You're not far off, anon. I think the right play is to extend the $600. The idea that people are getting paid more not to work is not a strong argument. It's the equivalent of $15/hour, which is what is the real reason people are fighting it.
