$5,000 Reward Offered For Culprit Who Put ‘Trump 2020’ Sticker on Bear’s Collar

August 4, 2020. Dangerous culprit still on the run.

Yes, really.

Local activists in Asheville were apparently “outraged” at the sight of the sticker, which was seen on the collar of a black bear.

Sheila Chapman took a photograph of the bear on her North Asheville front porch after noticing the sticker and asserted that such treatment was “cruel and inhuman,” adding that it was “not OK.”

With the dangerous criminal who committed this horrific act still presumably on the run, “Help Asheville Bears” (HAB) is now offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who can identify the suspect.

HAB says that this is not the first time someone has placed a political sticker on a bear in the area. Apparently, the shocking act is part of a disturbing trend.

“Whoever placed the illicit sticker had better get out of moonbattery-addled Asheville,” writes Dave Blount. “If caught, the perpetrator is as likely to get a fair trial as Derek Chauvin.”

Trump: Universal mail-in ballots a 'disaster,' will be 'great embarrassment to country'

President Trump addresses mail-in ballots in Nevada and if he would consider an executive order

President Trump said Monday that it could take two months for Americans to see a result from November's presidential election – a comment that came amid a tense back-and-forth over the merits of universal mail-in voting during an interview with Axios journalist Jonathan Swan.

The comments during the "Axios on HBO" interview come as the debate over universal mail-in voting which many states are doing despite Swan incorrectly asserting otherwise several times during the interview has reached a fever pitch. Universal mail-in voting is a relatively novel practice in the U.S. in which states, largely because of the coronavirus pandemic, are mailing ballots (not applications for ballots) to all voters whether they request one or not.

“We went through World War I, you went to the polls, you voted. We went through World War II, you went to the polls, you voted. And now because of the China virus, we're supposed to stay home, send millions of ballots all over the country, millions and millions," Trump told Swan during their wide-ranging conversation. "You know, you could have a case where this election won't be decided on the evening of Nov. 3. This election could be decided two months later."

Inauguration Day is about two-and-a-half months after Election Day. Swan replied that there is nothing necessarily wrong with having a delayed result, as long as the result is correct.

"It could be decided many months later," Trump said. "Do you know why? Because lots of things will happen during that period of time. Especially when you have tight margins, lots of things can happen. There's never been anything like this … Now, of course, right now we have to live with it, but we're challenging it."

The president was referencing the lawsuits the Republican National Committee (RNC) and his campaign are bringing against some states over universal mail-in voting or other, similar issues.

Trump on Monday threatened legal action against a universal mail-in voting plan in Nevada. Republicans, who oppose universal mail-in voting, have worried it could lead to ballot harvesting, ballots for dead people or ballots for people who've moved being fraudulently filled out, as well as ballots being lost in the mail, and more.

"I am very grateful to Jim Hackett for all he has done to modernize Ford and prepare us to compete and win in the future,” executive chairman Bill Ford said in a statement. ‘Erotic mind control community has a racism problem’: BLM activists go after hypnotists in latest bizarre witch hunt

4 Aug, 2020 09:39

As street battles between murky federal agents, Antifa and various mom’n’pop protest groups over systemic racism continue in Portland, it appears a similar, but more insidious war is underway… in the erotic mind control community.

A seemingly never-ending thread, posted to Twitter by a self-professed 30-something white woman, who is part of the ultra-niche sexual community that some were convinced was made-up, details the sordid sins among hyperactive, horny hypnotists.

"So, I want to address something that will probably surprise no one: The erotic mind control community has a problem with racism,” we are mournfully told by ‘I-can’t-believe-it’s-not-Karen’ Carin McLeoud, as she begins her far-reaching filibuster.

So long was the list of racist abuses among the erudite eroticists, that even a video posted by journalist Ian Miles Cheong showing him just scrolling through it was too lengthy for some people’s attention spans, showing that certain white allies in the BLM movement, such as Carin, have far too much time, and not enough actual evidence of racism, on their hands.

Among the list of complaints made by the activist was the claim that black and indigenous people were portrayed as “exotic treasures” or “offensive, hurtful racist stereotypes” and that Asians were “hypersexual”.

“This is not something any of us should be proud of, but, thankfully for me, I had a black member of the community to wake my sorry ass up to the seriousness of this,” she added.

The Twitter treatise inspired a wave of reactions, with some suggesting that the titillating telepaths use their powers for good and not evil. "Maybe they could do the mind control to stop the racism?"one person quipped. Others suggested that perhaps Carin and her cohort of conscientious Karens had themselves been brainwashed.

Off you go, then! Most Germans in favor of US troops’ pull-out from their country – poll

4 Aug, 2020 13:02 / Updated 1 hour ago

Donald Trump is withdrawing US troops from Germany to ‘punish’ Berlin for buying Russian gas and for not contributing enough to NATO, but a fresh survey shows that people in that country are actually glad that’s he doing so.

Around 47 percent of participants in research conducted by pollster YouGov on behalf of DPA news agency, said they were in favor of the Pentagon’s decision to pull out almost 12,000 American soldiers from Germany.

Moreover, one in four surveyed Germans insisted that the US military presence in the country should be reduced to zero.

Only 28 percent thought that the 36,000-strong contingent must remain as it is, while four percent said that they wanted more American soldiers. The others declined to answer.

The views of the German public on the issue are in sharp contrast with those of the country’s politicians. Five out of six parliamentary groups in the Bundestag have been opposing the withdrawal, with only the Left Party saying that the Americans must leave completely.

Also on rt.com US-German relations are beyond repair as result of decades-long clash of views & ideas. Troop pullout is only a symptom

“Instead of strengthening NATO, it’s going to weaken the alliance,” Norbert Rottgen, who stands to succeed Chancellor Angela Merkel at the helm of the Christian Democrats Union, said of the US move. The leader of the Christian Social Union, Markus Soder, also warned that the pullout out “puts a burden on the German-American relationship.”

Last week, US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper announced that the Pentagon would withdraw almost 12,000 troops from Germany, which was a significant increase from the initially planned number of 9,500.

Trump, whose relations with Germany and Chancellor Angela Merkel have been rocky from the start of his presidency, recently pointed out that the US can’t remain committed to protecting Germany from Russia when it “pays Russia billions of dollars a year for energy” and “is very delinquent in their 2% fee to NATO.”

Why Trump Banning TikTok May Be a Blessing for Bitcoin Price, Adoption

Market Analysis

Yesterday saw many major altcoins rally to their yearly highs, with Ether (ETH) surging past $400, which I expected was a likely scenario in my last article two weeks ago.

In addition, XRP also had a bumper day exceeding $0.32 while momentarily outperforming Bitcoin as expected in my July 1 article.

However, Bitcoin showed its dominance in the space by wiping out several billion of these gains in a little over an hour. So what does the week ahead look like, and just what sort of impact could Trump's TikTok ban have on the cryptocurrency space?

Let’s get some perspective

BTC/USD 1-week chart

BTC/USD 1-week chart. Source: TradingView

Bitcoin on the weekly shows a picture of the future. The leading cryptocurrency by market capitalization has already tested the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement level of $12K before being rejected.

If you haven’t been paying attention to the weekly fib, then you should probably google how to use the Fibonacci tool on Tradingview right now because it’s probably the closest you’ll ever get to having Marty McFly's sports almanac in Back to the Future 2 than you’ll ever get.

The next level to claim is 0.618, which sits at $13,500, and if you’re happy with 20% gains on Bitcoin, that’s great. But when you look at other top-tier alts, you will see that most are trading under the 0.236 fib, which means greater upside potential, and this is something we experienced this weekend…

Lawmakers Demand Universities Produce All Foreign Donation Records

Tue, 08/04/2020 - 10:45

Republican lawmakers have demanded that the nation's top universities produce all records of donations received from foreign governments, after concerns have mounted over a growing national security threat tied to multi-million dollar gifts, according to the New York Post.

In a Monday letter to the presidents of six leading colleges – including Yale, Harvard and NYU, Reps. Jim Jordan (D-OH), Virginia Foxx (R-NC) and James Comer (R-KY) requested unredacted records of all gifts, contracts and agreements with foreign governments since January 2015.

The three lawmakers are the ranking members of the House Judiciary, Oversight and Reform, and House Education and Labor committees, respectively.

Lawmakers said they were troubled by the fact that governments like Qatar classified their donations to US colleges as “trade secrets” — banning the recipient from disclosing the nature or sum of the gift, as required by US law.

They said they were also briefed in May by Education Department officials who held “concerns about this level of [colleges’] dependency on foreign funding from adversarial states and the inherent national security risks,” the letters said.

According to the report, Harvard has declared 31 gifts or contracts totaling $101 million from China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Qatar since 2015.

NYU has received $40 million from the same countries over the same period, while the University of Pennsylvania pulled in $62 million from the group. The Universities of Chicago, Delaware and Yale each pocketed less than $30 million.

As the Post notes, the head of Harvard's chemistry department was charged with lying to the DoD in January about his receipt of $1.5 million in connection with his work at the Wuhan University of Technology in China. He faces up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000.
