Bob Avakian, the founder and leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA, has announced his pick for the 2020 election — Joe Biden.

Even though the communist party leader says Biden still represents a “murderous system of capitalism-imperialism,” he’s a better choice than President Trump.

“Biden is not ‘better’ than Trump, in any meaningful way — except that he is not Trump and is not part of the move to consolidate and enforce fascist rule, with everything that means,” Avakian said in an email to supporters on Monday.

“To approach this election from the standpoint of which candidate is ‘better’ means failing to understand the truly profound stakes and potential consequences of what is involved. The fact is that there can be one — and only one — ‘good’ that can come out of this election: delivering a decisive defeat to Trump and the whole fascist regime.”

“Right now, for everyone who is concerned with ending injustice and oppression, and with the question of whether humanity will have a future worth living—or will have a future at all—removing the Trump/Pence fascist regime from power is an immediate, urgent question and truly historic imperative.”

But Avakian said “to be clear, this means not a ‘protest vote’ for some candidate who has no chance of winning, but actually voting for the Democratic Party candidate, Biden, in order to effectively vote against Trump. This is not because Biden (and the Democratic Party in general) have suddenly become something other than what they are: representatives and instruments of this exploitative, oppressive, and literally murderous system of capitalism-imperialism.”

A vote for Biden is meant to remove Trump, he said.

“This is a regime headed by ‘a demented bully’ with his finger on the nuclear button. It is a regime that, without exaggeration, threatens not just greatly heightened suffering for the masses of humanity but the very existence of humanity itself, through its intensified moves to further the plunder of the environment and its boasts of unequaled weapons of mass destruction and its blatant declaration of willingness to use those weapons, including its massive nuclear arsenal.”

China Steps Up Massive 'Combat Readiness' Aerial Drills Over South China Sea

China has conducted massive aerial drills over the South China Sea at a moment of all-time high tensions with the United States.

Described as air combat readiness exercises, regional media details that three of China's five main military regions are active as part of the drills. It comes on the heels of even larger exercises off the Leizhou Peninsula in southern China which wrapped up days ago.

“Our aim is not to push the limit or break a record. All our exercises are aimed at [preparing for] actual combat,” a state media video said of the drills, which lasted over ten hours.

The aircraft made use of some of its man-made islands which have been at center of controversy with regional allies of the US, given the artificial land masses have been used to expand China's maritime claims over the whole area.

South China Sea detailed of the new drills that "the Southern Theatre Command sent various aircraft, including an Su-30 fighter and an aerial refuelling tanker, to Subi Reef, a South China Sea atoll that China expanded into an artificial island."

During the exercise, one foreign aircraft was said to be chased away from the area, but it's unclear whether it was military or what nation it belonged to.

New York Health Commissioner Zucker Won’t Provide Number of Elderly Who Went from Nursing Homes and then Died in Hospitals – Reportedly the ONLY State Not to Gather This Data!

Back in May we reported that New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo, Health Commissioner Howard Zucker, MD and Executive Deputy Commissioner Sally Dreslin Have Coronavirus Blood on Their Hands.

Their actions led to thousands of deaths in New York state.

Yaacov Apelbaum at the Illustrated Primer shared that these New York politicians are accountable for thousands of nursing home deaths because of their insane directives related to the China coronavirus.

Apelbaum first pointed out the ludicrous directive from New York’s Department of Health, including:

During this global health emergency, all NHs [nursing homes] must comply with the expedited receipt of residents returning from hospitals to NHs.

and:

No resident shall be denied re-admission or admission to the NH solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19. NHs are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.

Yaacov goes on to note:

In 2018, as Governor Andrew Cuomo faced a challenge to his reelection bid in the New York State Democratic primary, he got a last minute $1m cash infusion from the General New York Hospital Association (GNYHA)—a powerful NY healthcare industry group. On April 2, 2020, he repaid the favor when he quietly signed legislation shielding hospital and nursing home executives from any lawsuits stemming from the coronavirus outbreak. The clauses, inserted into the annual budget bill by Cuomo, gave blanket immunity protections for healthcare industry executive and administrators, the same individuals and institutions that have made a fortune moving sick Covid-19 patients to nursing homes.

The GNYHA gave to the Democrats an unheard of $3 million in the 2018 election cycle. Of this, Cuomo and his state party committee received close to $2.3m from various hospitals and nursing home industry donors. Governor Cuomo returned the favor with his directive forcing COVID-19 patients back into elderly homes. This directive provided a massive increase in revenues to organizations associated with the GNYHA who were paid handsomely for COVID patients. It was a bananza for these entities.

Both Israel AND Hezbollah deny devastating Lebanon blasts were a rocket attack

The Israeli Defense Force has denied responsibility for two massive explosions in Beirut that killed at least 10 people on Tuesday and injured hundreds more. Hezbollah has also denied the blasts were the result of a rocket attack.

The huge explosions took place shortly after 6pm local time in a port area of Beirut where highly explosive materials are stored, according to Lebanon’s internal security chief. Local media have reported the explosion took place at a fireworks depot near the port, while Lebanese Health Minister Hamad Hassan initially said a ship carrying fireworks exploded in the port.

In a statement issued immediately following the blasts, the IDF has denied responsibility for the explosions. Israeli government officials had previously accused Hezbollah of using the Beirut port to transport weapons, and while no proof has been produced to back these allegations, accounts friendly to the Israeli military quickly swarmed Twitter to revive them.

Human Rights Watch’s Ken Roth also signed on to the “blame Hezbollah” camp, suggesting - absent a shred of evidence - that the explosions were “Hezbollah’s way of saying don’t mess with us for allegedly killing former Lebanese PM Hariri” before hurriedly deleting his tweet.

Lebanese Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim, director of general security, has poured cold water on claims an Israeli rocket was responsible for the massive explosion, which was reportedly heard over 150 miles away in Cyprus. Speaking to local media, he blamed an “incident” at a depot in the port where explosive materials had been stored.

According to Reps. Jordan, Foxx and Comer, their largest concern is evidence that the donations were being used by foreign governments to "leverage their money into some type of benefit, or quid pro quo."

One example presented by DOE investigators to Congress in May was two universities with ties to the Chinese Communist Party-aligned Jilin University publicly defending the Communist regime after reports emerged that the COVID-19 pandemic originated from a lab in Wuhan.

According to Monday’s letters, the institutions “claimed those reports were false.”

American universities under investigation by the Education Department have repeatedly tried to conceal their ties to China, refusing to hand over documents detailing cash and other gifts from the Communist nation, or aggressively labeling them “confidential,” one attorney for the department told lawmakers in May. -New York Post

Overall, an analysis by the Clarion Project found that some $10 billion had flowed from foreign entities into US universities between 2012 and 2019.

N***er brown’: Amazon blasted for outrageously offensive product description

Amazon has again found itself amid a swirl of controversy, after online shoppers spotted that the e-commerce giant has been selling a pair of brown shoes that used the N-word to describe their color.

The leather Florence Shakespeare brogues were available in a range of colors, including “N****r brown”. Extraordinarily, in this age of extreme political correctness, the racial slur had appeared uncensored on the online store’s platform since March.

The rest of the description featured a range of grammatical and spelling errors, but broadly read like a normal shoe ad. “Occasion: Whether you are working, driving, wedding, Business or other casual lifestyles it is a great choice to wear,” the first line read. “Formal Oxford for men pull on style lace up upper materiel genuine leather rubber sole are easy to wear non-slip,” it added.

Unsurprisingly, Amazon has faced a barrage of criticism about the offensive listing. UK Labour Party politician David Lammy was among those who took aim at the tech giant. “Just buying brown brogues tonight leads to this racist micro-aggression. Is it 2020 or 1720? Please, ⁦⁦@amazon – take it down,” he wrote.

The outcry quickly saw the shoe advert stripped from the website, and Amazon reminded all sellers that they must follow its selling guidelines in order to offer their wares on its platform.

However, Lammy was among those who weren’t satisfied with the mere removal of the product. He asked the company via Twitter how the N-word was ever allowed to appear on the site in the first place, and then to go unchecked for several months.

WHO Conducted "Extensive Interviews" With Wuhan Scientists Amid Efforts To Prove Virus Didn't Escape Lab

The World Health Organization - which praised China's early efforts at 'containing' COVID-19, parroted CCP propaganda about transmissibility, and refused to declare a pandemic until March 11 (allegedly at the request of Chinese President Xi Jinping) - has conducted "extensive discussions" with scientists in Wuhan to piece together the 'natural' origin of the outbreak, according to Reuters.

The 'fact finding mission' included talks on animal health research, according to a WHO spokesman.

"The team had extensive discussions with Chinese counterparts and received updates on epidemiological studies, biologic and genetic analysis and animal health research," said the WHO's Christian Lindmeir, who added that the investigation included video discussions with Wuhan virologists and scientists.

The three-week advance mission comprising two specialists in animal health and epidemiology was tasked with laying the groundwork for a broader team of Chinese and international experts that will seek to discover how the virus that causes COVID-19 jumped the species barrier from animals to humans. -Reuters

The WHO's official position is that COVID-19 crossed over from bats to humans through an unknown intermediary animal - and has ruled out the possibility that the Wuhan-based virus escaped the Wuhan Institute of Virology, whose lead bat scientist Shi Zhengli sparked an international ethics debate in 2015 over the genetic modifyication of bat coronaviruses for human transmissibility.
