Raytheon Announces Deal To Make Israel's Iron Dome Defense System In US

Major US armsmaker Raytheon Technologies has announced a joint venture with Israel’s Rafael to make Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system inside the United States, with an eye toward sending it to “allies across the globe.” Raytheon emphasized how successful Israel says Iron Dome is, citing a 90% success rate. That’s used to intercept the makeshift Palestinian rockets, and it is broadly untested with respect to proper missiles or other weapons. “This will be the first Iron Dome all-up-round facility outside of Israel, and it will help the U.S. Department of Defense and allies across the globe obtain the system for defense of their service members and critical infrastructure,” vice president of Raytheon Missiles & Defense’s land warfare and air defense Sam Deneke said.

According to Defense News: The U.S. Army has chosen Iron Dome as an interim capability to counter cruise missiles while it continues to develop a future Indirect Fires Protection Capability, or IFPC, to counter those threats as well as enemy drones, rockets, artillery and mortars. Congress mandated the service buy two batteries to cover urgent cruise missile defense gaps, and another set of two if the Army didn’t come up with a way forward for its enduring IFPC. MIT has done studies on Iron Dome as an interceptor missile, concluding that the success rate is a “deception” and that it is a system which “hardly works,” and almost certainly would have a success rate less than 10 percent. Historically this was important because US aid is used to pay for the Israeli system. If the system doesn’t work, however, it’s likely something other potential customers may want to be aware of.

Nevada AG Sounds The Alarm, Says Nevada Dems Will Be Able to Vote For Elders Without Their Signature

During an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Monday, Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt sounded the alarm, stating that Nevada Democrats have pushed through a new rule that will allow Democrats to enter nursing homes and fill out ballots from nursing patients without their signature. "You’ve chronicled it. I’ve chronicled it," Laxalt started. "There is clearly voter fraud all over the country and this is a huge deal. And she’s talking about ballot harvesting which is illegal in Nevada until this new bill was passed. And your listeners have heard of granny harvesting. Imagine paid Democrat operatives or Republicans being able to go into senior living homes, take advantage of our elders and in this legislation they can even sign it for them. So this thing is absolutely ripe for fraud."

On July 31, Laxalt tweeted, "Gov. Sisolak and the NV Dems called a special session with no public present and inside 24 hours are ramming through mail-in balloting and ballot harvesting. They are massively altering our election 97 days out entirely without the SecState. They are working to steal our election." Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak passed the bill which would send a mail-in ballot to every Nevada resident. "This bill will help prevent Nevadans from experiencing the long lines at polling locations they faced during the Primary election, which will protect their safety, safeguard their right to make their voices heard, and help reduce the spread of COVID-19," the governor tweeted. "Nevada is widely recognized as being a leader in election administration, and this bill will enable election officials to continue to support the safest, most accessible election possible under these unprecedented circumstances," Sisolak continued. "I am confident that Secretary of State Cegavske, in coordination with local clerks and registrars, will run a safe, fair and accessible election this November."

President Trump has vowed to fight back, stating that he would be taking the governor to court. “In an illegal late night coup, Nevada’s clubhouse Governor made it impossible for Republicans to win the state,” the president tweeted. “Post Office could never handle the Traffic of Mail-In Votes without preparation. Using Covid to steal the state. See you in Court!" President Trump later doubled down during a press briefing. "You'll have somebody like the governor of Nevada come out with this massive plan, out of nowhere, to take millions of ballots and send them all over the place. You'll never know who won that state. It'll get messed up just like New York and just like Paterson, N.J., and just like many other places," President Trump said.
