That explosion went straight up in the air. Cars right nearby you can see on the street were relatively ok.
I have a feeling that this was an underground weapons/something cache. Think about how a gun barrel works.
The "fireworks" were a distraction, or were ordinance exploding.
This explosion seems like it was underground. Weapons smuggled into the port.
Someone wanted that port destroyed.
