President Trump claims getting election results may take years if all voters have the option to vote by mail

He does support absentee voting

President Donald Trump continued his campaign to discourage universal availability of mail-in voting Wednesday, telling "Fox & Friends" that if everyone is given the opportunity to vote by mail this year, it could take years to get the election results.

The president was asked specifically about Nevada, where the Democratic-controlled Legislature passed a measure that would have absentee ballots sent to all active registered voters in the state so they don't have to go vote in person during the pandemic. The Trump campaign has sued Nevada over the plan.

"As you know, the postal service for 40 years has had big problems," Trump said. "They're not equipped to handle a governor where they say 'millions of ballots will be posted in a couple of weeks. Gear up.' You can't do that. It doesn't work that way. It's a very complex process. … If it doesn't work out, you're not going to know the Nov. 3 election result, I'm talking about for the whole country, it could be for months and months — actually it could be for years."

President Trump has at times tried to draw a distinction between the absentee ballot process, through which people with certain circumstances can request to vote by mail, and universal mail-in voting, where everyone is sent a ballot to vote by mail regardless of their situation.

Regarding Florida, however, the president disregarded that difference and encouraged everyone in the state to request a ballot and vote by mail. Trump votes via absentee ballot in Florida.

"Whether you call it Vote by Mail or Absentee Voting, in Florida the election system is Safe and Secure, Tried and True," Trump wrote Tuesday on Twitter. "Florida's Voting system has been cleaned up (we defeated Democrats attempts at change), so in Florida I encourage all to request a Ballot & Vote by Mail!"

President Trump believes Nevada's universal vote-by-mail plan will prevent Republicans from winning elections in the state.

"In an illegal late-night coup, Nevada's clubhouse Governor made it impossible for Republicans to win the state," Trump said on Twitter. "Post Office could never handle the traffic of mail-in votes without preparation. Using COVID to steal the state. See you in Court!"

Hawaii, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington already had voting by mail before the pandemic. Vermont, California, and Washington, D.C., adopted the voting method due to COVID-19.

Former South Florida U.S. Attorney Guy Lewis told "Outnumbered Overtime" Wednesday that he doesn't "buy" former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates' claim that then-FBI Director James Comey went "rogue" when he sent two agents to the White House in January 2017 to interview then-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

"I just find it so hard to believe that someone who works directly for you, you don’t know where they are, what they're doing, what kind of investigation they are conducting … " Lewis told host Harris Faulkner. "I don’t buy it."

Lewis added that Yates had "signed off on every single one of those FISA warrants that were submitted" to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillence Court to request monitoring of former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

"You look at the timeline, and you see that on January 4th, the FBI says, when they interview Flynn, 'We think he’s telling the truth,'" Lewis said. "On January 5th, the very next day, she’s [Yates is] called over to the White House and has the meeting with all these big shots, and they pull her aside with Comey and [Obama says], 'Listen, even though I’m not supposed to … direct the investigation, put the right people on it and make sure you have the right people on that investigation.' Come on, give me a break."

Just days before the Iranian-funded terror group Hezbollah waged a terrorist attack on Israel’s northern border, congressional Democrats gutted legislation that would have halted U.S. funding to the Lebanese military, which is almost entirely controlled by the terror group.

Congress has been working on legislation that would slash millions in American taxpayer funding to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), which has long been under Hezbollah’s thumb. Republican lawmakers in both the House and Senate have been pushing to cut this funding for some time, arguing that U.S. aid should not be sent to an institution known to conduct attacks against Israel on Iran’s behalf.

While the original bill had bipartisan support in both chambers, House Democrats recently attached an amendment to their version of the legislation that nixed the funding cut. Other GOP amendments that would have strengthened the legislation and pushed the LAF to isolate Hezbollah from its forces were also struck down by the Democrat-led House.

The House last week passed a watered-down version of the bill that leaves the LAF funding fully intact. The wrangling over the legislation came just days before Hezbollah launched a foiled attack on Israel from southern Lebanon, where the LAF and international forces have been tasked with stopping such terror strikes. Republican congressional sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon accused House Democrats of standing in the way of a major reform effort that could have forced the LAF to eradicate Hezbollah from its ranks or face a cutoff in U.S. aid dollars.

Then yesterday came the shocking news that a massive explosion occurred in the city of Beirut.

It was later reported that the explosion occurred in an ammunition warehouse belonging to Hezbollah terrorists.

This was a strange request by Democrats to sneak into a package to assist American workers.

Damascus Countryside, SANA- The competent authorities on Wednesday found a large amount of weapons and ammunition, including US-made shells and Israeli-made mines left behind by terrorists in the southern region, including US-Israeli-made mines, SANA reporter said.

A source told SANA reporter that the competent authorities found during sweeping operations of the areas liberated by the Syrian Arab Army in the southern region more than 180,000 bullets, including large amounts of 14.5, and 12.5 machinegun ammo, in addition to hundreds RPG fillings and shells.

The source added that the authorities also seized US-made shells, Israeli-made mines, heavy and medium machineguns and RPG launchers.

Houston Man Accused Of Sharing Sexually Explicit Images Of Toddler On Social Media

HOUSTON – A 34-year-old resident of Houston is in custody for charges relating to sexual exploitation of a child, otherwise known as producing child pornography.

A federal grand jury returned the indictment against Richard Reyes Trigo today for sexual exploitation of children as well as distribution and possession of child pornography. He is expected to make an appearance on the indictment in the near future.

He was originally charged by criminal complaint following suspicion he actively engaged in the sexual exploitation of a minor female under the age of two. He was taken into federal custody July 15 and made his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Peter Bray, at which time he was ordered detained pending further criminal proceedings.

The charges allege Trigo engaged in conversations via a social media forum that individuals who have a sexual interest in children allegedly frequent. Trigo saw a post that contained terms commonly associated with the sexual exploitation of children and responded, according to the charges. During the course of the chats, Trigo allegedly claimed he was sexually active with a minor female and claimed he performed sexual acts on her. Trigo later sent four images he claimed were of the minor, some of which focused on her vagina, according to the charges.

If convicted of producing child pornography, Trigo faces a minimum of 15 and up to 30 years in federal prison, while the distribution and possession charges carry additional penalties up to 20 and 10 years, respectively. Each charge also carries a possible $250,000 maximum fine.

The FBI conducted the investigation.
