Militarily I think it makes more sense to attack turkey before syria.
Turkey just shot down a Greek jet in Greek air space today. They're going to eventually take Greece if the pussy footing continues and then they'll take Germany and they'll continue westward.
Hit turkey hard as fuck. The Russians won't give a shit might even turn on them. The Iranians and syrians will prob do the same.
Once turkey is dealt with you have more leverage with Russia in regards to syria.
Instead of trying to hold fronts from every side push east and create a domino effect.
Going after Syria a short term gain just like Iraq.

Iran poses no threat to the west. Iran is a threat to iraq and israel. Iraq is a lost cause and Israel can handle itself with support.
