>"Everyone using their knowledge of good and evil to do good, and avoid evil, is in the synagogue of satan."
>"That is the gospel of satan."
>"As told by satan to Adam and Eve."
Satan's words meant something very different from what he promised. God knows evil only to hate it. He does not know evil experientially. Innocent humanity could only know about evil by being able to participate in it. This discovery would cause their ultimate demise.
Satan wanted Adam and Eve to cast doubt on God's Word. Satan lied and denied that God had Eve's best interest in mind. Satan's lie was that God was "holding something back" from Adam and Eve, that eating from the tree would provide them.
However, Adam and Eve were already like God in the sense they were created in His image.
The fall of humanity in Christianity is transcended by individual redemption.
Trusting in oneself, thinking for oneself, are corollaries of logic, evidence, empiricism, for it is within the self that all actions of data collecting, establishing theories, testing theories, and knowing what statements are false and what are true, takes place.
